venomous snakes are not constrictors. They simply use venom to do the killing/paralyzing or for defense. Unlikely a venomous snake would try to eat someone's arm.. It's usually constrictors which have bigger appetites. Venomous snakes are usually more about speed, so they wont try to eat really large things because it makes them vulnerable to attack.

I'll never forget watching the 3 inch long black spider wasp fly into my house in Australia and watch it attack a baseball size Hunstman spider in my foyer paralying it and laying it's eggs in it's abdomen. Disgusting & tough to watch.

8 foot long black Mamba snakes routinely slither onto the beach there causing people to run off and clear the beach faster than you could imagine lol
