I'm not much of a fan either.. Except how he humiliated the mainstream media, and still does with his PewNews views which double the numbers of the highest rated mainstream news show at head 8 million viewers!

He's right though.. YouTube has been undergoing a hostile corporate takeover. Interesting to watch. RIP filthy frank.

The internet is still the wild west. You can't keep kids out of places they want to go, they will find the content they seek. So companies have to roll with it, and it is fascinating.
I think PEwDiePie is just a current star, bigger ones will come. AI Stars likely to rule and always provide in multiple languages and genres. Yikes

I was watching some art videos on YouTube tonight and almost every channel had its own little flashy intro. I usually skip those or complain that it's a waste of 20 seconds of my time...but I had the thought "everyone can have their own fucking TV station and create a brand". It's just fucking cool.

I remember back in 2006 (maybe 2007) someone asked me if I've ever been to YouTube.

I said "U2? The band?"

"no...YouTube. Y.O.U....tube. People upload their own videos and the whole world can see it."

"Oh I get it. It's a tube for you. Sounds stupid".

Those numbers... damn. Imagine being the CEO of a major news corp and facing the pressure of losing so badly to a solo guy being a dipshit all day long. Funny how poorly they all perform on a platform which is more or less a level playing field.

The video was quite interesting and much more than just PP.

Its about people in the news media who used their positions to try to destroy people they didn't like. And for audiences who would visit news sites because they just wanted news, and not biased political drivel, their audiences diminished. Advertiser revenue went with them. And in turn, these news media people were laid off and lost their jobs.

Kind of like karma? Economic correction?

Whether I agree or disagree, the points made in the video are interesting.

Oh by the way, attacking the OP and ignoring the video is like saying, "I can't dispute the points made in the video. I just don't agree with them. When it comes to people being singled out, I can see why Ben Shapiro gets hate...not just because he's an asshole conservative, but because he's not half as intelligent as he thinks he is...or pretends to be.

Jordan Peterson on the other hand is brilliant and everyone should listen to him. He's not preaching from any political stance...it's just all common sense.
