Firefox Server — WTF?
 
I chatted online with Talenti Gelato tech support . Captcha didn’t pop the box with code so Submit gave an error. I wanted to inform them so I could send my email to them. I explain the error and support tells me,

thank you for the information. Have you tried with the firefox or chrome server


First I told her to capitalize proper names. Then said neither Firefox or Chrome were servers but browsers. Lastly, that support should just take the information and send it to tech support. You supply support for products, not websites.

Uhm, I lost patience and said, “you need to pull your head out of your frozen ass and read. MY server information won’t help your errors. My BROWSER name won’t help you as I told you already I tried Firefox, Chrome and Safari. This is a programming error, not my software. If you’re going to offer tech support, learn what a browser and server is. You, Heidi, are of no help to me. You represent Talenti poorly and I’ll be sure to send them this log. Have a good night”.

I could not believe she offered me tech support.

one of my rule is , dont try to correct stupid people.

if they think browser = server.,

then speak with them in their language.,

tell them you have tried chrome, firefox and opera servers and problem still exists.,

if you try to correct them , then the focus of issuse changes path from current issue to their lack of technical language.,

i dont know, what were you trying to do, but stick with the issue. and talk to them in their language.
