Trump Jr. attacks ‘loser teachers’

Donald Trump Jr.‘s name is being floated as a potential political candidate but the President’s eldest son just lost one constituency Monday night.

Speaking in El Paso, Texas to warm up the crowd for his father’s “Make America Great Again” rally, Trump Jr. decided to attack teachers, and many Americans are outraged.

DJTJ, as Donald Trump Jr. is often called, is closely aligned with Turning Point USA, which bills itself as a conservative organization focused on college students. Its founder, Charlie Kirk, often appears at Trump rallies and DJTJ has spoken at TPUSA rallies. TPUSA’s communications director, Candace Owens, was accused last week of defending Hitler.

So perhaps it’s no surprise that the President’s son would focus his attention on school-age conservatives, but his remarks inspired some to suggest he is the one in need of an education.

“You know what I love?” Trump Jr. asked the crowd in El Paso. “I love seeing some young conservatives, ’cuz I know it’s not easy,” he said, reinforcing the Trump family’s theme that conservatives are marginalized victims.

“Keep up that fight, bring it to your schools. You don’t have to be indoctrinated by these loser teachers that are trying to sell you on socialism from birth. You don’t have to do it,” he told the audience.

Many on social media took offense to the President’s son’s attack on educators, many if not most of whom endure low-salaries, are forced to buy classroom supplies with their own money, and suffer extreme disrespect from the right. As one person on Twitter asked, “The same teachers who we expect to put their bodies in front of our kids if a shooter comes in their classroom?”

Nice try, but the idea is to let each state handle their own education system. Like they did before 1979.

Conservatives will never change the education system until more of them choose to go into the education field.

I'm sorry, but Republicans have had control of both the House and Senate for 12 of the last 18 years and they have had all three houses for 10 of those 18 years and they haven't done shit. All they do is talk about bringing God back into school and ending the Board of Education, both of which will do nothing to fundamentally change the education system. There was No Child Left Behind, but that was a disaster of epic proportion.

If they want more conservative options more conservatives need to become teachers, they need to open more conservative charter schools and colleges and they need to focus on building a conservative base to the education system. But they don't do that because, deep down, they don't really want to change anything because bitching about liberal and socialist indoctrination is one of their favorite past times and it is another tool used to get people to vote against their own self interests.

Until they take reasonable, actionable steps towards changing the system, they need to shut the fuck up about it.

One of my religious friends is part of the whole home schooling christian cult thing but she's soften up a lot the last few years because it's very difficult having 4 children at home 24/7 AND teaching them lol. Who knew?

So Trump attacking teachers is par for the course of demonizing anyone not home schooled or in a private christian school. they teach the kids that young now to hate anyone not like them.

Yeah, they have wanted the voucher system put in place for a long time which they sell as being a good thing but is just a way of them getting tax payers to pay for Christian private schools.

These are the same people who don't vaccinate their kids.
