The sad thing is, in about 30 years all of America will be one giant brown hellhole if Democrats have their way. They are really going to turn the US into Northern Mexico & Africa with a little bit of Europe sprinkled in. Good luck with that.

Point out where it claims 53% of Californians want to flee.

You are intentionally spreading lies to weaken the US.

LOCAL ISSUES LOOM LARGE: CALIFORNIANS SEE A
SERIOUS HOUSING CRISIS

53% of Californians are
considering moving
out of state because of the high cost of living

72% of Californians say
cost and availability of
housing is a very serious
issue for California

The other 47% likely can't consider it because they are upside down in their mortgage from 10+ years ago.. Ask Rochard

It was a little over the top, but Westerners have only themselves to blame for their plight. We have consistently voted in politicians who pander first to big business, second to themselves and thirdly the people.

Rochard 02-16-2019 10:54 AM

Everybody WANTS to live here which is why the cost of living is so high. It's mostly the weather. While most the country is suffering from below zero weather, we are enjoying 55 degree weather. I am guessing it's even warmer in SoCal.

Is this why you were ordered into court ordered therapy? Because you cannot control yourself from throwing rocks at people? Or was it because you're pathological liar? Either way a judge thought you were a danger and forced you into therapy. Not good.

My state has taxes. And some stores in some states do check ID for a CC purchase. Liquor store / tobacco shop / gun store. You don't know about this because you don't earn enough to buy nice things, or have a credit card :1orglaugh

That's not because you are using a CC - It's because you are buying booze, fags or a gun and they are age restricted - Jebus...

Stores do check ID.. For good reason. The same reason there are fraud protections on websites.. To verify the person with the card is the same name on the card.. My card got hit about 2 weeks ago.. $850 at home depot.. Trial run of $23 at a atm or something... Obviously neither of those places checked ID or they wouldn't have gotten robbed. Minor inconvenience for me. $850 loss for Home Depot. This is the 2nd time I've been hit in 6 months.

Exactly. At first he tried saying anyone using a credit card to buy food had to show an ID. This was the day after Trump made the same idiotic statement and obviously asspimp figured it had to be true so he argued for weeks about it. Just about everyone who lives in the US either has or has had a Visa debit card at the least and would know that was complete bullshit. Now he tries to backpedal and says in liquor stores or to buy guns and then says "you just don't earn enough to have a credit card". Another dead giveaway he's not American even though he pretends he is. Credit card issuance has zero to do with what a person makes.

You really are stupid. Stores don't check ID's, it is against Visa/MC regulations. Secondly, Home Depot would not have eaten the loss the credit card company would have. And an ATM? You need a PIN to use an ATM, you seriously don't live in the US, admit it.

And BTW, learn the difference between retail and website transactions.

You obviously Googled this and read it somewhere, guess what you read didn't mention if you paid with cash they would also check your ID. :1orglaugh

You're the fucking idiot.. They can steal your pin as well.. The first time it was a hotel clerk.. I thought something was strange when she keyed in my card info and then swiped. I almost called her out but didn't.. Last time was at a gas pump.. They had a card reader on it.. It was somehow collecting the pin as well... It kept rejecting my pin. I almost switched cards but I forced it through via CC rather than debit.

That one didn't.. But if you're using debit... You enter your pin.. She just keyed in my card info on her PC

As far as the store being reimbursed.. When were you last covered for your charge backs by VISA/MC?

BTW they used pin purchase at Home Depot as well.. Not just the ATM..

There is a difference between card present transactions (retail) and card not present transaction (internet). If a sig is captured and they are using up-to-date equipment (chip technology) the bank eats the loss.

If you're lucky.. I've had a customer sign an invoice that all was received, card swiped on site, signed etc.. He went straight back home and filed a charge back and it's been pending for months.. Which reminds me.. I need to check on that..

Sounds like he filed a chargeback because you misrepresented something, not because of fraud. If someone signed the receipt then claimed it wasn't him then he committed fraud and most people arent that stupid.

Yes, Braindead Fred- Buying food at a grocery store and paying with a check, the cashier is supposed to check your ID. You don't know any of this because you don't have modern stores in your village in the Philippines :1orglaugh

There's no way to misrepresent.. It was an auction.. You see, you bid, as is.. Several thousand $ in items. They know they can get away with it. And he did.. Discover will 99% of the time agree with the card holder even if you have a signed invoice.. I won't take discover any longer.

Rochard 02-16-2019 04:03 PM

California is perfect. The reason why the cost of living is so high is because people WANT to live here. No one says "I want to move to Minnesota".

We have the perfect weather. I live in Northern California, just north of Sacramento. We have four seasons, it never snows here, and summers aren't too bad. Some months I can go swimming in my pool and then drive an hour and hit the ski slopes.

We have all of the things that all states have. We have rural living, big cities, lakes, deserts, mountains, beaches.... We also have things that no other states have - Hollywood and the Silicon Valley. We have our share of state and federal parks too.

Too expensive? Perhaps. But I have friends and family who live in NJ and they complain bout the same thing.

And of course people will say "earthquakes" and "fires" but those are limited in nature and don't affect the overall quality of life. The earthquakes are mostly in SoCal, not often, and don't really do much damage. I was here for the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake (I lived closer to San Francisco then) and we went without power for a few days. We have fires too; The town of Paradise is about an hour away and we could surely smell the smoke for a few days a lots of people lost their houses we aren't the only state that has fires. The fires here are bad because we have a lot of rural areas and we are very dry.

Every now and then one of my Republican-ish friends will say "I don't like living in California because of the political climate". This doesn't even make sense to me. In fact, I find it comical. I don't wake up in the morning and think to myself about how local state politics affects my life here. Oh, no, we allow gays to get married here and we have some gun laws and we allow non citizens to get a driver's license - how horrible. These things have zero impact on my day to day life. (And I own firearms.)

Don't like California.... Then leave.

If it's in such high demand then why is your house still upside down from 10+ years ago? One would think that after 10 years you might have hit a break even with so much demand.
