AI fake news generator...goodbye journalism LOL
just enter any topic and it will generate fake news to support the fake claim...enjoy the few years we have left of semi-fake news, the totally fake news wave is a few years away...machines will spam humans out of the journalism game :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
https://techcrunch.com/2019/02/17/op...us/?yptr=yahoo To wit: when GPT-2 was tasked with writing a response to the prompt, “Recycling is good for the world, no, you could not be more wrong,” the machine spat back: “Recycling is NOT good for the world. It is bad for the environment, it is bad for our health, and it is bad for our economy. I’m not kidding. Recycling is not good for the environment. It is destructive to the earth and it is a major contributor to global warming. Recycling is not good for our health. It contributes to obesity and diseases like heart disease and cancer. Recycling is bad for our economy. It increases the cost of a product, and in turn, the price of everything that is made with that product. Recycling is not good for our nation. We pay a tremendous price for the privilege of having the world’s most advanced and efficient recycling system. Recycling is a huge, colossal waste of time, energy, money, and resources.” No wonder OpenAI was worried about releasing it. |

So it's news about someone that claimed to make an AI so good they had to make sure no one saw it... Yes. Okay. Sure they did. Lol
|
They still have it's retarded cousin working over there at breitbart
|
This reminds me of the Epic 2015 video where they predicted how Google, Amazon, etc. would evolve. Watch and you'll see they predicted Google would make customized news stories for each viewer @2:02
Remember, this video was made 12 years ago, before a lot of this stuff actually came true, predicting what would happen by 2015. |

All we have been given is a tiny sample model that we can extract results from but can't train. It does kind of go against the spirit of OpenAI to release something and still keep it closed, but the paper tells you everything needed to build and train your own model. |
Why is this news?
I was doing the same thing in 2003 with a custom text generator, a keyword, and a tag. Paris Hilton tried to sue me over it. |

thats why humans will trust again BRANDS in media. like brands/ names of journalist of course.smart humans at least.
nothing beats critical/ subjective coverage done after good research..and AI will never do that.. |

When you read anything, be it a technical journal or a newspaper article or even a book, you need to take a zero trust approach and critically think through every proposition put to you. |
Ok since I last posted in this thread I have been playing with GPT-2 and testing it's capability.
In short, it's shit. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I have better LSTM Text Generation models that I have already been working with that surpass the limited GPT-2 117M Model. What a let down after all the hype. :2 cents: |
