I was just checking out backlinks of a popular site using an online tool. I clicked on the domain link (unfortunately the domain does not allude to it's content) it was some kind of porn/death tube. For those few seconds it was on my screen, there was a slider showing an image of a dead person who had bled to death. There was another man almost beheaded.

Really it is absolutely sickening how people can try and profit from this stuff.

I could not close browser quick enough.

I remember years back there was an amateur porn/military forum, with photos of dead iraqi's, shared by those serving there. It was rightly closed down by authorities.

Yeah, it's pretty disgusting. I have never seen a website 'dedicated' to this type of stuff, but there are gore threads all the time on chan. Back in the day there used to be VHS tapes you could rent from Blockbuster or something that showed scenes of people being killed, accidents, etc. Forget the name... Faces of death I think.

If it’s legal, you can’t do much. If a USA host kicks them off, they go elsewhere.

I remember the Faces of Death dvds. Generally they show video from the news. But they’d sneak in a street murder or Baghdad hanging to shock people.

You need to think carefully about banning them. Five states in the land of the free, USA, deem pornography illegal. No adult magazine or video sales and viewing porn online is illegal. And Buffalo NY won’t allow adult magazine sales.

I had to research this before I began publishing my magazine.

Death sites aren’t for you but don’t ban everything you don’t like. While death is painful, where do you draw the line? SMBD sites? Real pain, real blood. Menstruation sites? Puke sites?

Too many people feel this way about the sites we make and promote. Fisting? Puke? Bondage? Threesomes? Teenagers?

Just for the record, None of 'Faces of Death' was real. OK, the abattoir stuff was real, and some of the long distance stuff like the parachute not opening was real, but the stuff like the monkey brains eating and the 'electrocution' were not.

Would you like to live next door to somebody who finds it enjoyable to look at dead people, or those close to death? It is desensitizing people to violence and we all know where that can lead.

And books that tell each gory detail about the deaths? Put anything that offends people and is illegal underground. Ban anything that offends someone. People will protest owning puppies and kittens because they aren’t allowed to run free.

Horror vids do not lead to murder.

Not my jam and obviously murder is illegal, so murder should remain a crime.

War photography ended the Vietnam war. If American media about the Middle East were being produced and shown to Americans, that horror show would end, whether or not a small % enjoyed it.

I used to post on a forum where one topic was the opposite of that statement. I’d state that a diseased mind could equate anything with everything.

A TV show about a stolen car could make them steal cars.
A movie with a murder could make them kill.
A newspaper article about rape could make them rape.

Porn makes you horny. YOU choose to commit rape by yourself. Porn shows consensual sexual activity and not forced sex. Regular porn and not fetish porn. But fetish porn showing “forced” activity is actors only and not meant to guide the viewers.

Rape is often an act of revenge against all women. It’s a woman scorning a man and his way “to show her...”. It might be a recreation of a television scene.

But the rapist is not normal in the head to know it’s wrong. Or, they simply don’t care. A former friend raped his girlfriend. He served time and I’d write to him. He admitted he did it and it was because she teased and teased him with clothes, words and actions. No sexual activity but teasing continually. Finally he had enough and took what he was owed. His words.

He knew it was wrong but acted irrationally and in anger. I had mixed feelings about it. He was 1000% wrong but she contributed to his behavior by horrific teasing. You can’t stick a bottle of alcohol under the nose of a recovering alcoholic and expect them to ignore it. Repeatedly doing it breaks down the person. Then again, he should have broken it off and moved on. He wasn’t owed anything yet felt he was after a year of teasing.

Porn doesn’t lead to rape and hunting doesn’t lead to human murder. People can be driven to do bad things when normal. Humans can take just so much. But a smart person will know that wrong is wrong and look for alternatives.

Sadly, most of these sites the op is talking about, I see a vid a few years back. The guy was literally being beaten with hammers and stuff after being dragged behind a fence and filmed on an amateur camera, it was real and it was sickening :(

I agree 100% that we should be able to see what's happening there and it shouldn't be illegal.

One unfortunate consequence is that trolls are publishing gore photos of the dead, from these gore sites, to members of the deceasts family via social media.
