Fence me in?

I have been absent for a while and I am sure that this wall topic has gotten a lot of play but the one thing I dont hear about this whole wall thing is this...

Do you REALLY trust the government to never use that wall to keep you IN?

I am all for border security but not to the point that it can be used AGAINST me....and they want ME to pay for it?

And before anyone says use your passport and come and go as you please I have one thing to say. Cuba.

Am I alone in not trusting government to misuse this wall?

There's no border wall with Canada.

We have 700 miles of border wall at our southern border to keep out poor South Americans looking for a better life. It really is a humanitarian crisis down there.

If we had a border wall with Canada I'd be more concerned for sure.

As for people looking for a better life let them in no welfare, no free anything, if you work, pay taxes dont try to force your ideology on others and are a productive person I welcome you as a citizen, matter of fact I would happily trade you for someone who is a citizen and whose life is devoted to suckling the public teat

I agree 100%. We only have so many resources and we need to maintain a balance in our country & our culture. We are America. We are not Venezuela or Italy or China. We also need to bring in people with high level skills.

If we put time, effort & money into helping out South American neighbors stabilize, we wouldn't have the humanitarian problem that we are faced with now.

Spot on actually and also an argument for population control which is inevitable...as much shit as we gave China for it look where it got them...when you depend on foreign food to feed your people you are forever at the mercy of others, Chinas implementation was arguably faulty but they did what had to be done and it is in the future for us barring some population reducing pandemic, natural catastrophe etc..even at that growing life expectancy and modern medicine will eventually make it reality
