Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen issued a dire assessment Wednesday of the migration crisis on the southern border, telling a House committee that illegal immigration is “spiraling out of control” and predicting that crisis will “get even worse” in the coming months.
And in a startling revelation, she said Customs and Border Protection is on track to apprehend almost 1 million illegal immigrants at the border this year.

“In February, we saw a 30 percent jump over the previous month, with agents apprehending or encountering nearly 75,000 aliens,” Nielsen told the House Committee on Homeland Security. “This is an 80 percent increase over the same time last year. And I can report today that CBP is forecasting the problem will get even worse this spring as the weather warms up.”

After years of the number of illegals declining, including every month the following 12 months, all of a sudden, the month after Trump declares a fake national emergency to build a wall, the illegal immigrant numbers skyrocket.

Actually, there is some truth to this.

Immigration did rise in the past few months, but not to alarming numbers. We are still far below where we were five years by huge numbers.

The problem is ten years ago it was single men crossing the border looking for work. Now it's women and children. The crisis is that our immigration system is not set up for mothers and children. We just can't house them.

The end result is we took children away from their families and then... Lost them.

You can be sure that behind the scenes these parents are suing the living shit out of the US Government for "losing" their children....

Migrant Crisis hey, go to countries like Italy and Greece in Europe and you'll see a real migrant crisis.

I worked all my life and built up a nice private pension.

Because of the racial mix in Czech and the strict rules about welfare we now have no illegal immigrants choosing to come here. So you can bet that if we see a person of colour they will be a student or businessman.

It's not about colour for me, it's about skills, education and culture. Asian children living in Britain are out performing the White kids who out perform the Black kids in education. Given the same resources why does one race beat another? Culture.

They've done studies on this and evidence suggests that racial bias in arrests it is negligible. They compare victim and witness surveys and they always show police arrest violent criminals at almost identical rates at which criminals of different races commit violent crimes.

Americans' net worth fell at the highest level since the financial crisis in the fourth quarter of 2018 as sliding stock market prices ate into the household balance sheet.

Net worth dropped to $104.3 trillion as the year came to an end, a decrease of $3.73 trillion from the third quarter, according to figures released Thursday by the Federal Reserve. The fall amounted to a drop of 3.4 percent.

Much of the slide came due to Wall Street's woes, as the stock market suffered a precipitous decline that started in October and briefly reached bear market status. Equities skidded as investors began to fear that the Fed would keep raising interest rates even as economic conditions began to deteriorate.

By the time the market drop ended in late December, households saw $4.6 trillion worth of equity value deteriorate. The decline was offset somewhat by a $300 billion increase in real estate value. The overall move was the second-highest quarterly dollar drop since the Fed began tracking the statistic.
