Politics - for me anyhow - is not about what party they are from or if I like them. Generally speaking, I do not like them - any of them. In the last election I liked John Kasich, for example.
I did not like Bush #2. I thought he was dumb. Some things he did I liked, and some things he did I didn't like. Some things he did I originally liked but then discovered it was very bad - such as how we invaded Iraq.
With Obama, I didn't think he was qualified at first. However, I've always wondered out loud what it would be like to have someone without a lot of of experience become President (assuming of course they at least had some experience). I originally had a lot of doubts in Obama, but after eight years I was fully in the Obama camp.
With Trump... It's a whole different thing. I hate Trump as a person, long before he ran for office. I am a Jersey boy; Trump was constantly on the local news because everything on the "local news" was all about NYC back then. Trump was also on Howard Stern a lot back then. He just came across as a pompous asshole. I remember how Trump would launch businesses like the hotel he bought, the airline, Atlantic City.... Every time it was a great story about a local NYC businessman is expanding and then years later the story was about a massive failure. I don't hate Trump because he is President or because he is Republican; I hate Trump because I've always hated Trump and because everything he touches turns to shit.
Trump has been in office for over two years and has yet to really do anything I support. I am thrilled to death NASA might be going back to the moon and then Mars, but so far that is only talk. Today he did something right - grounding the planes. He gave the military a raise - um, great, I guess - but every President will do that over the course of four to eight years gives the military a raise.
Everything Trump has done has been wrong, or he has fucked it up in some way. It has been constant drama and scandal. Micheal Flynn, Trump's United States National Security Advisor, is going to prison.
This is so bad that nearly everyone in his campaign is going to prison. People from his administration are going to prison. People who worked for Trump in the past are going to prison.
People are afraid to go to work for the White House because they are afraid they will end up in prison or will need to spend hundreds of thousands on attorneys.
This is no way to run a country.
And this is just starting. Every investigation turns up more crimes, more people get indicted, and more people get charged and go prison.
