You can hide the wp-admin page
You can install a no-comment plug to keep it clean
You can use wordfence and ban everyone for 2 months max who uses Admin as a username.
You can also take the Admin away, run it elsewhere.

The plugins and the variation in this makes me love WP just a little bit more.

LOL - If you had to be told this perhaps you shouldn't be making webpages. My main domain has four installs of wordpress, one just for testing.

WordPress should be updated on a regular basis.

You can set WordPress to auto update.

WordPress can go on a subdomain.

I have one WordPress install with a transparent tour and protected members are protected by a rewrite plugin that protects every page & template in that category. It's about 30 lines of code and no memory overhead.

I also have Ioncube to "protect" the PHP, right click disabled to "protect" snooping and 3 lightweight PHP scripts under 100 lines total to hide video source and wipe frames from memory during streaming to "protect" the video.

What I hate most about wordpress is the number of files it comes with..the latest version has 1,713 files.. + themes, plugins etc...

I know it's super safe now and everything, but I prefer simple setups, less files and fast loading times..

Yeah; but the theme and plugin options make it extremely useful.

Saves a lot of money on programming.
Buying a mass distributed plugin/theme can be a 1000 times cheaper than custom programming.
