Independents and Democrats outnumber Republicans in gun ownership
 

This whole idea that Trump's alt-right loyalists are superior in strength and numbers because they have all the guns, is a fucking falsity.

Actually, Democrats and Independents own more guns than Republicans do. Overwhelmingly, More Democrats and Independents say they own a gun for protection.

About 66 percent of firearms in the U.S. are owned by people aged 50 and older. If the shit ever hits the fan, more people will die of heart attacks then by being shot.

It doesn't really matter. Does anyone really think Republicans will rise up and go to war with Democrats? With firearms? Sure sure.

The vast majority of these people are armchair warriors. I fully believe Trump is evil and corrupt, and I am in fact well armed, but does anyone here think I am going to pick up my assault rifles, meet up with other Democrats, and launch an attack on the local Republican party offices? Or drive down to the State Capital to defend it against Republicans? Hell no.

No, but this is the notion that Trump and the alt-right has been trying to push. Take for example Trump's rhetoric, Steve Kings's twitter posts, and the alt-right memes that get pushed on GFY and on other places the alt-right online terrorists hang out.

Will our society crumble, no. Are innocent people going to fall victims as a result of this rhetoric.. good chance. I mean you could argue that it's already been going on to some degree in isolated incidents.

Independents actually count as Republican.
