Going to play around with some amateur shoots with my gf and her friends

Need a decent camera that’s idiot proof to start.

He said starter camera to learn on.

You can get a perfectly fine t3i with the lens kit for $250 shipped.

Camera is just the 1/2 of the issue, then comes where and how to edit ( maybe play with the sound a bit) and an output it to video...the whole chain should be discussed..

I’m not saying you’re wrong.. but I’ve been doing this since 2000. Editing & shooting. A good camera is a good camera. I went from a sony pmx z100 to a sony fs7 mkii and night & day difference

To me it is ALL about the chain of events so you do not get a surpise later.... so

Lets say ( shooting in HD/ 2K) or ( 4 K ?) you need to know what you need:

1) camera ( + what kind of cards, Codex, how fast/slow is the output) and to what:
2) computer and how big and fast is the strorage ( + what kind of editing software what kind of sound and mix software) then:
3) ouputing to what computer with what software to color correct and master for various media..

So, if you buy a wrong camera you may need to replace the rest of the "chain".

We sold off a RED Scarlet and for 4 of this particular camera and two Ronin S gimbals. There’s still money left over.
