Life changes in an instant

Life can change in an instant.

A local friend of mine is a real estate agent and a community leader. She feeds the homeless multiple times a year with different events, works with the local food pantry, and runs a school every year for school supplies for kids. Shortly after the fires in Paradise, California, I worked with her at the local fire station collecting thousands of turkeys and she put together an event where she feed hundreds of fire victims on Thanksgiving.

A few days ago she posted on Facebook how her twenty-one year old son was missing. Twenty-four hours later they found him - Him and his friend were the victim of a hit and run accident. Both of them are in critical condition, clinging on to life; Her son had brain surgery this morning.

Tell your loved ones you love them every day of your life. You never know when it might be the last time you speak to them.

That sucks. I hate it when bad things happen to good people.

"The most precious aspect of life is its uncertainty." Ive stressed the word uncertainty because it is a buddhist saying.

That is your argument against there being a God, because bad stuff happens? Haha

That's why I always hug all my friends and family everytime I see them, I don't shake hands. I've been doing this since high school. :)

as humans we face 2 issues. natural and sociological. a tsunami is a natural issue, unscrupulous people taking advantage of the survivors is a sociological issue. there are other sociological issues, for instance being hungry in 2019 anywhere on this planet is a social issue.

that has nothing to do with god, that is humanities inhumanity to others in action. definitely 'ungodly' in my opinion.

within 3 months every person on earth could have happy meal for dinner, if we chose to. we all have 2 gifts from god, first and foremost the gift of life. we did nothing to deserve being born. it is a gift. the second gift is free will.

you have been gifted with the free will to take your gift of life and spend that gift as you chose. you may spend that life with love and healing interactions with others or you may spend that life looking for fault and assigning blame and hostility to others. the choice is yours, and has nothing to do with god

Richard my biggest fear in life is being interviewed by Paula Zahn. I hope and pray her child and the other child are going to be okay...

davidCRM 03-21-2019 01:41 AM

oh shit... hope they will have a full recovery!

Matt 26z 03-21-2019 01:57 AM

Hit and run accident.

Why would someone be involved in a serious hit and run?

I could understand a parking lot ding. But putting two people in critical condition and running from it?

The criminal who did this will be exposed as an illegal beaner. No doubt about it.

Manfap 03-21-2019 03:19 AM

Don't really understand why those two things go together.

She could have been an absolute cunt, still wouldn't wish this on her child.

I have family that lost a house in Paradise, fortunately they were out of town for a few days during the fire. Great that you and her were helping with the food, and amazingly crappy that her son lost his life in that way.

Reminds me of the guy who was helping get people out from the Las Vegas shooting, who was then killed months later in another mass shooting... seems like bad things really do happen to good people and their families.
