closing a site with active rebills
 

does anyone know the process of closing a site? with the new UK law coming into effect, the income does not outweigh the cons, so I want to close a site

I have members with active rebills though and some that have paid a yearly membership and no doubt half way through it

anyone have ideas?

You refund for the time remaining on the yearly subscriptions. Cancel the rest of the subscribers and keep the site open until the last subscribers subscription has ended which will not be more than 30 days.

Or you can refund all of the remaining subscriptions and close it immediately. You lose a lot more money that way but you can close it without worrying about chargebacks.

Or you can block all UK traffic, or redirected to a graphic that says they have to use a VPN.

Why would you close a site that is actively rebillng?

So long as you make enough money to cover the hosting....

Any site that can have some sells means it can potentially have thousands. The trick is just getting the flame started. Once you are there, anything is possible.

The site is 9 years old, its had its day
