Prior to BW's political posts, GFY pretty much shared the same fate as other AM-related forums.

Just look at other previously large forums' Alexa score trajectory.

Everyone knows BH forums, Quora, and FB groups pretty much destroyed the Affiliate Marketing forum niche.

But GFY remains defiant and now shows healthy thread turnover.

I give credit to where credit is due: BW 'saved' GFY

The open question is: has the decidedly politicized turn of GFY conversations turned off more people than it energized? When you look at the typical roster of thread participants there's a predictable set of expected participants... Does this indicate a fairly narrow appeal?

Then again, when SURVIVAL is the name of the game, it doesn't matter.

What do yall think?

Regarding the OP (thanks for your compliments MCE & CaptainHowdy) I've seen GFY go through phases through the years and change over time and it's always been about the people who take the time and effort to create threads.

If you're passionate about something create threads about it and influence GFY.

It seems there are not a lot of passionate people in adult creating threads on GFY for the last 5 or 6 years.

If you don't contribute to GFY by creating threads and you want it to change you complain. That's a failed strategy.

The board is basically a shit show now with shills and counter-shills. It probably increases the traffic in the short term while driving away real users and actual porn related discussion. Embracing trolls and driving away business is not what you want a board to do. GFY will probably be replaced at some point by a real moderated board.

Adultking tried vainly to get something going and gave up, due to lack of interest.

One of the main reasons for those "would you hit it" threads were to promote new models and content on sites. That reason has died off and now we have softcore images of non-porn girls to make amends. Doesn't work as well.
