Why DaFuGGk would the number 1 news network call someone else the mainstream media?

Wouldn't the "mainstream" be defined by the majority?
The majority of news viewers are watching Fox News.

How are they not mainstream?

Facts :

October 2018 Ratings: Fox News Channel Averaged More Total Viewers Than CNN and MSNBC Combined

Fox News – 2,829,000.
ESPN – 2,698,000.
TBS – 2,487,000.
MSNBC – 1,575,000.
FS1 – 1,339,000.
USA – 1,168,000.
Hallmark Channel – 1,158,000.
HGTV – 1,120,000.

Fact : "mainstream" is just a buzz word to make the viewers think they are unique and vanguards.

It's their narrative to feed their sheeple. Fox News, Trump, and the alt right want you to believe they are the under dogs/outsiders and not in control of anything. It's the other media, elites, and deep state you have to worry about. Even though Trump and the faces of Fox News are part of the elite

Anything outside of their bubble of pro Trump propaganda is msm

They are a lying conspiracy spreading hate propoganda machine for ignorant racist bigotted xenophobes.

They actually had this on the screen this morning:

Yes. They are purposely mis educating their viewers telling them that the Central American nation's of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras are "Mexican" countries.

Brainwashing.. It's the basis behind every cult or dictatorship. Give them someone to hate so they support you with blind loyalty.

And now the actual answer:

Fox is the only network that doesn't tow the party line. The other networks (CNN & MSNBC) are mainstream fake news. They are not jhournalists, but DNC activists. Even Fox is 80% liberal Democrats. Besides the morning show, there is only a 3-hour block (8pm to 11pm) with actual journalists who don't spew DNC propaganda.

So FOX is the only news outlet that doesn't spew the mainstream media talking points.

Glad I could help :thumbsup

How would you know this if you never watch it?? :1orglaugh

Like I said, it's 80% Democrats. Have you not seen Shep Smith or Chris Wallace or Jessica Tarlov or Jaun Williams or...

and now Donna Brazille! Yeah, Fox is "the mouth piece of the Republican party."

LOL

Crockett, it's clear that you have no idea what you're talking about. Like ever.

There are two kinds of news organizations... Mainstream and "everything else".

Mainstream is a "real" news organization - meaning they have a physical location, reporters, news anchors, etc.... This is Fox, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, Rueters... etc...

Everything else is not news. Breitbart is not news; It's a political website.

There is a huge difference between a news company and a political website. Anyone can run a news website (see Patriot Newsletter – Making America Great Again!) but that doesn't make it news.

Every time someone calls a major news company "fake news" it tells us they have no idea what fake news.

Fox News has a huge political slant - a lot of their programming is not news but political nonsense like Hannity - but I still wouldn't call them fake news.

So CNN is a "news" organization and not a political website? Hilarious.

Acepimp 04-03-2019 04:36 PM

So Rachel Maddow has a phD in Political Science, but MSNBC is not political??

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!

You crack me up Rochard! (With how brainwashed you are!) Youe news sources are DNC activists, not journalists.

Q1 2019 Ratings: Fox News Continues Its Reign as Basic Cable’s Most-Watched Network.

Fox News Channel wrapped up another quarter as the most-watched network on cable television, running its streak in total day to 11 consecutive quarters at No. 1.

FNC was also the most-watched basic cable network in prime time for the quarter, defeating cable news competitors MSNBC and CNN in both prime time and total day across the board. Fox News had double digit percent advantages over MSNBC and CNN in both categories, as well as triple digit percent advantages over CNN in total prime time viewers. It has defeated MSNBC and CNN in total day viewers for 69 consecutive quarters.

No small feat for a network that has achieved many ratings feats over the years.

Additionally, the network claimed 12 of the top 20 cable news programs in total viewers and 10 of the top 20 in the 25-54 demo for the quarter. FNC’s evening and prime time programs were among the top four shows in total viewers and the 25-54 demo.

But not everything was great for Fox News on the ratings front. The network was -1 percent in total prime time viewers and -3 percent in total day viewers vs. its Q1 2018 ratings. Similar to its competition, the trend was more ominous in the A25-54 category: -15 percent in the prime time demo and -16 percent in the total day demo vs. Q1 of last year.

Younger news viewers are increasingly leaving cable news…will they return in time for 2020?

Here are Fox News’ ratings for Q1 of 2019:

Prime time (Mon-Sun): 2,446,000 total viewers / 419,000 A25-54
Total Day (Mon-Sun): 1,403,000 total viewers / 252,000 A25-54

On the Fox News programming front – Sean Hannity was the No. 1 cable news host for the quarter in total viewers (he finished in second place behind MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow among adults 25-54).

Other key ratings wins for the network included Tucker Carlson Tonight throttling its 8 p.m. timeslot competition. The Five won the 5 p.m. timeslot by a dominant margin. Laura Ingraham‘s The Ingraham Angle finished No. 1 in the 10 p.m. hour across the board.

Celebrating her 5-year anniversary at Fox, Maria Bartiromo‘s Sunday Morning Futures was the No. 1 cable news program on weekends for Q1 among adults 25-54. Not only that, but Futures was the most-watched show in all of cable in her 10 a.m. timeslot for the quarter.

Q1 2019 Ratings: Fox News Continues Its Reign as Basic Cable’s Most-Watched Network.

Are you sure Fox is #1?

I thought the 24-hour People-You've-Never-Heard-Of-Playing-Golf-In-Real-Time channel got higher ratings than Fox.
