Generally speaking members of the American military lean Republican. Either way, they should never get involved in politics like this. At the same time, US troops are being deployed on US soil which is unheard of. If I was in the Marines and you told me I had to deploy to a border town in Texas to spend two months laying down wire for no reason, well, I would be pissed too.
