So who are the frontrunners for the Dems? Biden is toast, right? Bernie? This Buttplug dude?

Harris and the Fake Indian don't have a snowball's chance in hell. My guess is those Bernie bros are out for revenge and they will be the proverbial thorn in the Dem's side. They know the DNC can't steal it away from him this time. And most people know socialism doesn't work. I don't see Trump losing to anyone on the left especially when this trade war is over and the economy and unemployment is as good as it gets.

ilnjscb 04-06-2019 11:05 AM

Biden is not toast. Bernie is not toast, and he is the frontrunner now, though Biden will probably be when he gets in. Buttigieg is a very nice man and a good candidate. RF O'Rourke is a putz who actually does have the fabled "white privilege". I'm white, so unlike every other asshole who says that, I can.

They all have weaknesses, of course, but remember that Jeb! was the frontrunner at this time in 2015.

Harris does actually has a very good chance, as the only black candidate. She will do better in the southern primaries than any of those candidates.

Right now, I give it a fight between Biden and Sanders until SC, then a circus with Harris slowly gaining - should be very exciting. Biden will ask Harris to be VP should he win, and Harris will ask Buttigieg, is my amateur prediction. Of course I said Trump would pick Jeff Sessions, so I get that one wrong a lot.

Bernie Sanders will be the nominee. O'rourke will give him and Biden a run for their money.
But it will come down to Biden and Sanders, and Sanders will win it this time.

That's pretty much how I see it playing out although ilnjscb is right - a lot of shit can change between now and then.

If he does get the nod I think Bernie will give the win to Trump. The dude is like 80 yrs old still pushing these ridiculous socialist ideas that will never fly. Everyone can literally see bolívars blowing around in the gutters and streets of Venezuela. It doesn't work.

It's a year and a half from the election. We likely don't even know who all is running yet.

Whoever the Democrat ends up being it will be a close race and they have a good chance of winning.

They have no one.

Bernie: An old white guy who is not a Democrat, but a communist

Biden: An old white guy caught in corrupt deals in China and Ukraine, who gropes kids

Warren: The fake Indian who is a known liar with known corruption at the CFPB

Harris: A weed smoker who locked people up for weed, and whose family owned a plantation with SLAVES

Booker: A big-pharma shill who gropes underage girls

Robert O'Rourke: A fake latino Irishman who is married to a billionaire's daughter and who is really dumb

AOC: A communist moron who is not even eligibe (too young)

Yeah, good luck with that, clueless libs. The Dems ought to just forfeit and let Trump have it. Save money on the political ads.

Clueless libs. :1orglaugh

Bernie is getting trashed because he won't provide his tax returns.. (He doesn't want everyone seeing his large financial gains after bailing in 2016)

There is a chance it will be Sanders, but not o'rourke. He is #4 in every poll behind Harris and he has no base. He is just in it to raise his profile and frankly he'll be seen as an embarrassment after this cycle.

Democratic party is screwed... they seem like an obvious choice for 75% of Americans... but at the same time, the are all so way left leaning, they will discourage 75% voting for them... I really can't think of a single candidate they could put up that majority won't say "fuck that" for one reason or other...

This. I was a lifelong Democrat and the party (which I feel like many Dems here haven't realized yet) has been taken over by these white hating, men hating, heterosexual hating, common sense hating loons.

Yep, same as the religious fundamentalists have taken over the GOP. Sadly, the US primary system is getting us candidates a lot of people really can't support (Hillary, Trump, etc.).

The anti-LGBT focus of the GOP, extremely restrictive anti-abortion laws, Planned Parenthood health services funding cutoff, Cathi Herrod and her influence over the entire Arizona state GOP (and other states via model laws), etc.

Actually, the religious fundamentalists have given into the GOP and backed Trump, who even 12years couldn't have gotten their vote for moral reasons but if DNC doesn't understand what got Trump elected, they will never beat him and to this point they seem oblivious to how he got elected.

Update: My first candidate seems to have faded a bit, and now it is Biden v Sanders, my personal nightmare. People don't seem to understand what will happen if Biden gets the nomination. Maybe I'm wrong, but there is a lot to come out about him. Maybe this is a post blame world we're in.

I don't get too much thought to the candidates until we have the final two.... Even then I will not be voting Republican. I will never vote Republican again. Somehow the Republican party put the least qualified, incompetent, criminal president we have ever had into office... And then continued to support him.

Biden - Personally I think he is too old. His campaigning right now seems to be branding him as a fireball capable of taking on Trump.

Bernie - Still not a Democrat. He spent his entire life as "not a Democrat". Switching sides to make a run at the White House doesn't qualify someone to be a Democrat.

The rest aren't even on my radar yet.

I think we are in a post blame world right now.

At this point Trump has the undying support of his base and they will follow him off a cliff if that is what he wanted. On the Dems side, we haven't even gotten to the first debate. Let's not forget, in 2016 there were so many candidates they had to have two different debates until some of them started dropping out. At the beginning hardly anyone picked trump to be the nominee. Most of the Dems still have a shot at getting the nomination. We need to wait until the campaigns start to kick in and the rest of the country gets to know these people. Once they do, I think the Dems will forgive them of their issues. So long as none of the grab them by the pussy, move on them like a bitch, or suck Putin's cock, the blame game likely won't work.

All the Dems have to do is hope everything goes as it did in 2016 with one exception. The 40,000 voters in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania that voted Trump need to switch to whoever the Dem is. A lot of young voters didn't turn out last time because they hated Hillary. I don't think they will do that again because they don't want more Trump.

It was an incredibly close election in 2016 and Trump was running against a candidate who was hated by half her own party and generally disliked by the public not to mention under investigation, one of which came to light about 10 days before the election. With all that against Hillary, Trump barely beat her. The 2020 Dem likely won't have that baggage and Trump now has all these investigations and his general shittyness at the job to carry with him.

I think Biden or Bernie could win, but I would rather see them nominate someone younger that might motivate the young voters more.

That's what I said in 2016. This is 76,000 voters, half of what voted for Jill Stein. Those three states, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, are 46 votes and made the difference. Now they are polling MI even-+5 (Trump might win if it stays that way), WI +10 dem (Trump loses if it stays that way), and PA +10 dem (Trump loses if it stays that way). This time Trump wins Nevada (6 votes). If MI goes to dems, Trump loses with 266. I just don't think he gets MI this time unless dem candidate implodes. Biden might.

Exactly

Republican politicians have been bought and paid for by the multinational multi billion trillion dollar corporations that have no allegiance to any country, or humans in general.
