Another One Sentenced to Life for Running Over and Killing Black Teen

Russell Courtier was sentenced to life on Wednesday (April 17) for the racially motivated killing of 19-year-old Larnell Bruce Jr. two years ago.
The two men got into an altercation outside of a convenience store in Gresham, Oregon on August 10, 2016. When Bruce tried to leave the location, Courtier got into his Jeep and chased after the teen. Surveillance showed Bruce trying to avoid Courtier, who ran over Bruce and drove away. He was arrested and a jury found him guilty of murder, felony hit and run, and intimidation, which is considered a hate crime in Oregon. It was later revealed that Courtier is a member of a gang called European Kindred, a white supremacist group primarily based in the Oregon corrections system.
Courtier won't have the possibility of parole for another 28 years.
