Visa to take CB ratio to 0.9% Q3 2019
I'm sure some of you got this email from Epoch
Effective Q3 of this year, Visa will toughen chargeback rules for all merchants, worldwide. While there are a few changes taking place, most notable is that the new chargeback threshold will change from 1% to 0.9%. Epoch clients enjoy a comprehensive and specific risk analysis of their individual product performance. This level of granularity reflects our commitment to risk management, which is the number one priority of our business. We will continue to monitor your performance and communicate with you regularly to provide possible solutions where applicable. We’re here to help. Note that if you have 100 or more chargebacks and your chargeback ratio is greater than or equal to 0.9% as of Oct 1, 2019, your account will be subject to the Visa fine program. This means that they will look back at the performance in September on October 1st. Thanks Epoch for always being on top of your game :pimp:pimp:pimp |
Visa should fine some of their customers who do bullshit charge backs that cost merchants a lot of money.
Visa is always concerned about "their customers"; which apparently is not any of the merchants. But Visa would not have a business without merchants, no matter how many "customers" they had. :2 cents: |
USD $75,000 in fraudulent transactions AND
0.9% fraud:sales ratio in dollars. This was announced here back in February thanks for the reminder :thumbsup |
Bump for business :thumbsup

Wouldn't have to worry about chargebacks too much if credit card issuers in USA would finally use 3D Secure.
