Just watched the new president of Ukraine
 

Volodymyr Zelenskiy in his TV comedy - it's actually quite good. It's on netflix in the US, with subtitles, "Servant of the People".

In the show, he gets elected with 67%, in RL, he got elected with 73%. Check it out if you like comedy.

The guy is a comedian. Not a dictator. And the cat is very photogenic.

He seems to be a good guy and I really hope he is not a Putin's project.

I hope he is a pooty puppet! That would be awesome...pooty fixing elections left and right...love it!

A very large proportion of the public are utterly pissed off with the status quo delivered by lacklustre, upper middle class, career politicians. And now Brexit, Trump, the Right Wing, Zelenskiy and more are reaping the rewards.

I watched Question Time last night and a Labour politician was asked if the emergence of new parties were a threat. All he could say was he was more worried about the food banks, NHS cuts, poverty, etc than new parties. It's the old parties and 25 years of the EU that have delivered food banks, NHS cuts, poverty, etc onto the people. And their only solution is people pay more taxes and more borrowing.

If career politicians won't get the act together, the people will vote them out.
