immigration thought
when a person immigrants to the US they expect full constitutional right... and the left demand full constitutional rights for any immigrants legal or not. fuck they don't even need to be here lol!!
what makes the USA so desirable is the rule of law upheld by the constitution. correct? the other side to that is an immigrant MUST accept the constitution and accept living within the boundaries and rules of the constitution. immigrants are not invited here to install their own rule of law. just a thought... |

I don't even know where to start....
Our immigration issue was becoming less of an issue over the past decade - less people were coming to the United States illegally, and more of them were being deported. Then President Trump came along and created a problem that didn't exist along with a solution that doesn't work. His constant rants about illegal immigration and then caravans got the attention of people in South America - and then they suddenly started coming in droves. At the same time, the increase in people coming here illegally exposed a flaw in our legal system - our asylum laws. Now we have people coming in droves, walking across the border and claiming asylum. This wasn't a problem three years ago. I am all for border security. Everyone is. But the solution is not building expensive walls where they are not needed. We need fences - which the Board Patrol can see through to see what is happening on the other side (and are a lot less expensive) - and we need to increase both the amount of Border Patrol agents as well as the equipment and technology they need. We also need to change our asylum laws. Our asylum laws have been used to grant citizenship to people behind the iron curtain and then people from Cuba. This needs to be changed. If you want asylum in the United States, you need to visit an embassy in your home country. At the same time we need to limit the amount of people coming from each country. These are simple and effective things we can do to fix our immigration issues. However, Trump has alienated every group possible including portions of his base and the Republican party AND has the lowest approval ratings of any President. He has also declared war on the press, his press secretary was caught lying again, and it's gotten so bad that the White House refuses to have press conferences. Trump has zero negotiating skills, very little support in Washington DC, and is completely overwhelmed by scandal and investigations. We are two and a half years into his administration and so far he has accomplished nothing - nothing at all. I just read an article about Trump's official schedule and he actually has very little on his schedule.... Trump has no plans, our government positions are forty percent empty, he is unable to staff important positions, and the people he has hired are utterly incompetent. Our immigration problem will not get fixed under Trump. |
