Yeah

Either you think parked cars catching fire is a new thing, or you are trying to reinforce the russian anti Tesla propaganda.

I didnt see any of the combustion engine cars explode....they were just on fire. Theres a big difference between spontaneously combusting and catching fire due to a cracked fuel line or fuel injector o-ring leak.

CaptainHowdy 04-24-2019 09:17 AM

That is just evil . . .

I sure did...didn't see one explosion. Just slow creeping flames.

There was no Tesla parked car "explosion". The car didn't bounce or move or break into pieces. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

It burst into flames like the rest of them :1orglaugh

I guess we're watching two different videos. Lithium ion batteries violently explode as shown in the video. There was 2 seconds of smoke followed by a BOOM. That's an explosion.

I didn't see that happen with the other vehicles.

I guess you don't know the definition of the word explosion.

Perhaps you should work on your English language skills.

Explosion: A violent shattering or blowing apart of something, as is caused by a bomb.

Burst into flames: To ignite suddenly and violently.

The car did not move when it caught fire. Nothing was shattered. Nothing blew apart. The car simply burst into flames.

Did you not see the camera shaking in the video? The huge fireball that engulfs the whole frame then disappears? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Learn the difference between explosion and combustion please...

Lithium-ion batteries can fuel hotter fires than normal fires, but they CAN'T EXPLODE. It's a myth created by ignorants based on the phone-incidents - a over-(de)charge issue to be specific.

So now you're moving the goal posts.

The video is a handheld phone, recording security camera footage, being played on a monitor.

You're saying shaky handheld phone camera footage equates to a car breaking into pieces or shattering.

Strange how you try to change what you see to fit your preconceived definition.

There's a psychological term used for what you are doing, it relates to propaganda and how it impacts the mind. It's called confirmation bias & belief perseverance..

Confirmation Bias: Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's preexisting beliefs or hypotheses.

Belief Perseverance: Belief perseverance is maintaining a belief despite new information that firmly contradicts it. Such beliefs may even be strengthened when others attempt to present evidence debunking them, a phenomenon known as the backfire effect.

Explanations for the observed biases include wishful thinking and the limited human capacity to process information. Another explanation is that people show confirmation bias because they are weighing up the costs of being wrong, rather than investigating in a neutral, scientific way.

I apologize for your lack of vision and common sense. I can certainly see a fair amount of energy being released by the lithium ion back :upsidedow

There's a lot of Russian propaganda out there working aggressively to attack Elon Musk on several fronts. Russia makes $6 Billion a year farming out it's launching capabilities to multiple countries. Russia's overall GDP for the whole country is $1.5 Trillion. This is why Putin is targeting Musk (from another thread)

Why?

Because Elon Musk is now a threat to the Russian space industry who now does all the launches & returns for the space station.

So expect to keep seeing continued online attacks and campaigns against Elon Musk in all of his businesses :2 cents:

You can see the conflict began with Elon throwing the first fuck you to Putin in this tweet from Elon Musk about Putin's space program in 2013
