Guess it's airplane crash time again...
2 Days ago a 737 slid off the runway into St Johns river here in FL up in Jacksonville.. Everyone lived but the plane was completely in the water..
Now today a airliner has crashed in Moscow.. |
It's not surprising that another Russin made plane crashed in Russia. They are the worst engineers on the planet.

Auto's here were fairly well engineered in the 80's, but the bean counters beat the engineers. Something that changed in the 90's with increased competition. Always more to consider. The 737max8 was not poorly engineered but some bean counter had override of some engineers. The engineer will always make work with what they are given limits to make work, even if they do not agree with marketing or budget/finance. They do as they are told, it's their job. just trying to underline a perspective in support of engineers everywhere. |
Wondering if they were attempting to jettison fuel before attempting to land and fuel ignited as they touched down. With the nose so high in the air looks as though the landing gear may not have deployed - maybe a belly landing.
Death count up to 40 atm. Sad. |

Dying in a plane is no way to go Russia sucks man |
I would not make to many guesses about the cause just yet.
It could be something stupid like a lithium battery fire that started in in a cargo bay. They do not have many of the rules most of us have on such things. But you have to feel bad for the loss of life in any case. |

The first passengers getting off the Ruski flight all had hand luggage, makes you wonder how many died so they could get their bags down, and the training of the flight crews.

I thought the Russian one burnt on the runway waiting to take off.
Edit n/m it was moving.. maybe it was landing or taking off? Was video on YouTube with flames burning on the engine wing as it was moving. |

Russian planes have the worst crash record history of any other manufacturer of airplanes.
|
Looks like I didn't catch the full story... Lighting strike caused the plane to catch fire, and thought it landed... 41 people killed.
https://www.popularmechanics.com/fli...C-n8pvBQxOrZJ0 How horrible. |
First thing that came to mind while watching the plane go up in flames down the runway was that DC 10 crash in Iowa around 1989
|
there was problems on take off, so the plane turned around and the fire started on landing...
it certainly sounds like engine & mechanical problems :2 cents: https://aviationvoice.com/aeroflot-a...2-201905061403 |
Everything that was made by Putin and his gang is a shit.
Just a month ago I have posted about this plane here. I said it's banned in the EU because it's a flying garbage. |

The fire didnīt start until the plane hit the tarmac, as the flight was turned around due to the communications problems. Theyīre hoping the black box gives more info... it may have been the cause, but itīs not certain as yet :2 cents: |
the sad thing with a Russian plane that people died because some of the passengers tried to save their luggage by that blocking the exit for those who were in the tail of the plane

now is in mexico

even if it didnīt create the fire, the lightening did create a communications malfunction, which is why they turned the plane around to land again... so no matter, this is a flying bag of crap :helpme |

P.S. Yes, they are not Russian. They are 100% Soviet invention. The missiles designed in the USSR are powerful and very reliable, so that's why they are in service now. |

this will someday lead to the point where either the compartments will be locked during takeoff and landing or hand luggage will be completely forbidden. |

They are definitely the best ones, but they are just our legacy from the more advanced era :( |

The 2015 video you link 2 was made before the f-35 came out. |
I'll just leave it here: https://nationalinterest.org/blog/bu...s-report-42892
1) It's too early to speak about a very raw jet. 2) I haven't noticed any maneuverability on both videos, posted by AIDSwire above. As about a vertical take-off, so even old good Harrier of 1961 can do that. |

An incredible aircraft, as is the eurofighter, but yes, the lightening is a shade more agile, itīs a fighter and not a bomber and fighter as the eurofighter is :thumbsup |
