Getting ready for UK Age Verification
 

Deadline is finally here and only a couple of months away (July 15th). It's a pain in the arse that it's slap, bang in the middle of the summer when a lot of us will be travelling around that time, especially for those of us who have a large blog network that will have to all be ready.

What can we do now to make the process as simple and quick when the deadline arrives? I'm trusting AV Secure to provide the verification, and apparently they are hoping to launch their software on June 3rd, which doesn't give a lot of time before July 15th and having to go live with it.

Personally I'm auditing all my sites, installing https on any sites I haven't already done so, GDPR compliance etc. Anyone else have any other suggestions?

As an aside, does anyone know if the default setting for new Internet Provider subscribers in the UK will continue to be 'no adult'? Surely there's no need for that anymore when the age verification comes in?

You are welcome to access the developer area now at avsecure(dot)com. Here you will find a registration area and access to Terms & Conditions which will allow you to not only test the AVSecure service but decide which one of the many integration methods are most suitable.
