That depends on what you think.
I think the structures were built around 10,500 BC. The Egyptians as who later came to inhabit the area, refaced the structures and claim them as their own. But it is clear they were built at the time of LEO and had a purpose greater than anyone fathoms at this point. To much has been hidden in actual fact to better support the older views that in turn support views of religion. It is very hard to talk about anything that breaks the religious view. For instance, the great pyramid has a 12ft thick piece of mica near the top that was geologically proven came from South America. That would have been used as a lens in the 'Eye of Horus' you see on the back of a $1 bill. What would cause it to light up is the better question. |
Someone please explain how ancient humans knew the circumference of the earth at the equator

It is clear to see the Sumerians had that knowledge of the solar system, the proportionate size of the planets and creation story started with them. As well as the flood story. It took a bunch of misguided Hebrews scribes who were in exile in Babylon to absorb those Sumerian writings and re-write historical records in a way that fit with their view of why god had forsaken them to change history as we know it. Knowledge suppressed if it does not fit their mold. Want a little proof... a eye for a eye and a tooth for a tooth was not a original writing of the bible. It was found in Babylon as part of Hammurabi's moral code later found and decoded in modern times from several stele's. |

People with knowledge and the ability to self think greater things have most often had to do it in hiding.
