My problem with mini series on TV or netflix etc...

Say that during season 1 the the main character drives a certain car. However, in series 2, set a few months or years later, he is driving a different car - But why dont they do more to help us understand this plot device?

For example, where did he get his new car from? What did he do with his old one? Scrap it, part exchange, trade in etc? Did he get his new car from a dealer brand new, or did he purchase it privately, as a used vehicle? Likewise, how did he pay for it? Did he pay cash, or was it on credit? If so, how much per month are his payments? Or is he leasing the vehicle? Again, if so, what are his monthly commitments to it? Does it include a warranty? If so, is it a mileage based one, or one that expires in a set amount of time? Free Insurance for the first year? Any other special deals they got as part of the purchase price? Also, was this his first choice of vehicle ir did he test drive a few different models first? If so, what lead him to opt for the one he now drives?

It's the lack of details like this that make it almost impossible for me to invest my time in a TV show. How can they expect us to connect and relate to a character when they hide so much information from us? This is why I just can't get into Game Of Thrones at all... :(

One would have thought that you'd enjoy shitty television . . .

Well yes. Exactly. Had it featured a scene where he had taken a shit in the car, then a lot of issues would have been resolved... :2 cents:
