Harriet Tubman will no longer be on the $20 bill.
A former housekeeper who fabricated tall tales about freeing a few slaves.
Historically, she was less important than the black guy who pretends he invented peanut butter. A few years ago, the gay Kenyan had his regime concoct a plan to put her face on the $20 bill. Like most of his other policies, it was a pure "Fuck You" to White society. A way to further divide America along racial lines, for no reason other than spite. But now that we have adult leadership back in the White House, this retarded idea has been shitcanned. Good riddance: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/22/harr...g-in-2020.html "The redesign of the $20 bill featuring Harriet Tubman will no longer be unveiled in 2020, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said on Wednesday." https://i.imgur.com/kGd6k2O.jpg |
Amen to that.
God Bless Andrew Jackson! And let's hope this get pushed to 2024. |

It's just being delayed until the exact moment trump leaves office should he get a second term, because of reasons that will be denied but are very obvious. See sig... |

That's not Harriet Tubman. Plenty of photo's to choose from, why choose one that obviously is not her? How about those "Tall Tales"? She was much more important than a figure of the underground railroad. We know she was a Union spy and instrumental in raids - finding the mines (which were called torpedoes at the time and to what Farragut was referring when he famously said "Damn the torpedoes") that were laid in the rivers. After the war she turned her attention to the suffrage movement, and founded a nursing home for the elderly and indigent people of color. Educate yourself: https://www.biography.com/news/harri...iography-facts https://news.nationalgeographic.com/...n-spy-history/ https://www.nps.gov/places/tubmanagedhome.htm A very remarkable woman. |

what could you possibly have invested in this in the least? Not only are you trying to bad mouth a strong historical figure you are doing it in the defence of Andrew Jackson? I like some of his history as well, but he was far from not having flaws himself to say the least... |

she was considered property and she held on to her humanity to help others gain freedom. if any of us could have such a legacy... incredible what she accomplished I don't consider this thread 'racism' per se as that word seems to be a dog whistle amongst those who hate these days that I'm not interested in calling. I just call it hate and not interested in trying to turn people committed to that away from it sadly there is no point, you can't reason with those who distrust reason as 'book learning' or even those on 'our' side who would rather flame and smear and make us all look bad y'all seriously need to fix your country, or if it burns I know how to fiddle (did the violin for years) but seriously Tubman is now up for disparagement? thought all you Americans on the right were down with common folk (but yes the rich have your best interests at heart if they can tweet a catchy sound-bite) I like paying with $500 bills (that's less than $5 USD so not a baller here) as Nanny is on the paper |
