If Mexicans are catching the flu or other communicable diseases, it's because they're packed in a detection center with thousands of other illegal migrants.

I don't care if you're Left or Right of the political debate. A government's, State or local council is to look after the citizens of your country first. When foreigners are given preferential treatment or ignored to cater for immigrants, whether legal or illegal, you've fucked up and not doing the thing you were elected to do.

The illegal immigrants in detention centres are in there by there own choice. The US didn't force them to migrate illegally and doesn't keep them in detention centres out of spite, they can all go home, They're in the detention centres by their choice, they are separated from their children by their choice. They didn't have to migrate to America with their children and don't have to have children while in the US.

Illegal immigrants have broken the law. Should all lawbreakers get a break because prisons are horrible or because they have children?

You can't keep using the argument "the other side do this wrong" as an excuse to not do anything. Stopping the huge problem of what Americans pay for health care is a problem both sides fail to address. Workers rights are more reliant on the balance between unemployed vs jobs vacant and the quality of jobs. Any law based purely on race, gender, creed, needs to be examined closely. This debate is about illegal immigrants in detention centres and the diseases illegal immigrants can bring into the country. It has nothing to do with race and any suggestion that it does is wrong.

This is something I try to teach to people as often as I can. However, the dumber people don't seem to have the capacity to understand the meaning of the Dunning Kruger effect and will usually just brush it off as non-sense.
