LA made $1.3B in illegal immigrant welfare payouts in just 2 years

Illegal immigrant families received nearly $1.3 billion in Los Angeles County welfare money during 2015 and 2016, nearly one-quarter of the amount spent on the county’s entire needy population, according to data obtained by Fox News.

Funny, both of my kids have purchased homes in SoCal within the last 18 months.

But Trump said the economy and unemployment are going so well!! Eventually Trump's lies always catch up to him then he & his supporters have to come up with new ones. Sad

Trailers in the desert don't count as homes unless they have a foundation and your children don't own the trailer, the bank does, until 30 years from now when the note is paid with interest :2 cents:

its bad in LA and every where else

Diomed 06-04-2019 09:29 PM

Funny how the Californians run out here claiming trump.

I've always wondered why they are so concerned about illegal immigrants when they have tent cities of homeless people needing help.

Yes I realize the problem isn't as simple as that. Drugs have a lot to do with it.

We need to bring back mental health hospitals.

And your point is?

I was unemployed for four years during the recession. If it wasn't for the fact that I had a lot of money in savings and a lot of money in investments I would have lost my house. Not everyone has that kind of a cushion. In fact, most Americans can only get by a few months without an income. If they do not have family to fall back on, they lose their house and become homeless.

It is bad everywhere.

One of most Republican cities in the country is Mesa, Arizona. Homelessness is up there too.

This isn't a California issue. It's a country wide issue.

CurrentlySober 06-05-2019 01:24 AM

i used to like being homeless in LA...

Illegal immigrants can't afford to buy or rent a place to live in California, so it's no surprise that most end up homeless and that they are exacerbating the homeless crisis. This is the direct result of California declaring itself as a sanctuary state. Democrat Governor Jerry Brown signed California Sanctuary SB54 into law on October 5, 2017.

You clearly don't live in LA or close to LA.

The homeless are predominately white and black in LA. The Latino homeless are predominately inland in towns bordering the desert.

WRONG as usual.

I said California, not L.A. and I said Governor Gerry Brown, not Mayor Eric Garcetti.

You are an idiot

Illegal immigration is down. Our homeless issue is not illegal immigrant related. Only a retard would think that and of course you don't link to any proof.

Illegal immigration down homelessness up.
