I've always wondered why they are so concerned about illegal immigrants when they have tent cities of homeless people needing help.

I was unemployed for four years during the recession. If it wasn't for the fact that I had a lot of money in savings and a lot of money in investments I would have lost my house. Not everyone has that kind of a cushion. In fact, most Americans can only get by a few months without an income. If they do not have family to fall back on, they lose their house and become homeless.

It is bad everywhere.

One of most Republican cities in the country is Mesa, Arizona. Homelessness is up there too.

This isn't a California issue. It's a country wide issue.

Illegal immigrants can't afford to buy or rent a place to live in California, so it's no surprise that most end up homeless and that they are exacerbating the homeless crisis. This is the direct result of California declaring itself as a sanctuary state. Democrat Governor Jerry Brown signed California Sanctuary SB54 into law on October 5, 2017.

The homeless are predominately white and black in LA. The Latino homeless are predominately inland in towns bordering the desert.
