Part of being human. We get a secretive kick out at self-destruction.

Try and step outside yourself and look in. A simple exercise would be to imagine you are watching yourself as a character in a movie about your life doing whatever it is you are doing... Then imagine the director of the film saying to you - This isnt working! Tell me, what could your character do differently?

Then use the advice you have told the director on yourself in real life... Or don't... Up to you really - You could just soil your pants instead...
