Anyone rocking a chromebook after coming from an apple environment?
My iMacs getting a bit old these days, and I don't know if Im really doing enough "real" computer stuff to warrant another mac... Its mostly just web based stuff I do these days - The days of creating and editing videos, doing large photoshop projects and building and designing website in dreamweaver etc and firmly in my past...
So I was thinking about going chromebook - THIS ARTICLE has inspired me - But what do you think? Have you made the same switch, or if you have not because it would be too limiting for you (Like it would have been to me a few years ago) - Would you ever consider it? |
I have a Chromebook I use on a pretty regular basis. For basic things like using the internet, emailing, and simple work, it works great. The battery lasts a long time, it boots fast, and is easy to use.
On the negative side, you can't install much software on it. Instead it is all apps so, in effect, it makes the Chromebook like a big phone. Here's a cool article with some ideas for sites and apps that are good. https://www.techrepublic.com/article...-real-desktop/ |
I replaced my dual iMac 27" 2009 models with a single Mac Mini + 49" Monitor 6 months ago. Still loving' it.

I just bought a Surface laptop. It's super. Boots up quick, fast enough, battery lasts all day plus.
