This really surprised me. You’d think that they would publish details about them yearly. Height, scars, tattoos, jewelry, anything that could help identify the people. Twelve hundred people unaccounted for makes me wonder where they were. If on the planes, then they’re on a list of passengers. How many are not accounted for on the planes. Then workers from both buildings who haven’t been found yet. Missing persons from NY and Washington DC.


Another victim of the 9/11 terror attacks has been identified — nearly 18 years later — through DNA testing.

The victim, only identified as a man, was the 1,643rd person to be identified as one of the 2,753 people killed in the World Trade Center attack in Lower Manhattan on Sept. 11, 2001.

The man's remains were recovered in 2013, and confirmed through DNA testing, the New York City medical examiner's office said on Monday.

It was the first identification of a 9/11 victim since July 2018, when the remains of Scott Michael Johnson, 26, were confirmed.

Around 40 percent of the nearly 3,000 people killed have yet to be identified, according to the medical examiner's office.

I believe talking about that would be considered a microagression against our muslim members of our community.

Muslims is a very broad term, what's very clear is Saudi Arabia will be protected by the USA no matter what political party is in as they buy weapons, money is the only God America follows.

Pam your writing as if there identifying bodies. I'd presume its more like a vegetable soup that's been cooked for several weeks and then trying to identify which farm the individual vegetables came from.

Do you really think there is much body left to be identified when two 104 story buildings fall on you?

My brother-in-law's best friend was killed when the first plane hit. His family got back a single vertebra. Grandma almost mistakenly used it to make soup.

DNA. They took samples then but just matched another one. But over a thousand people missing and no one searched databases for them? Or is the cost prohibitive?

DNA from a drop of blood or a strand of hair would be collected. They literally took months and months combing through the rubble and testing each fragment for DNA. That’s why it cost billions of dollars to clean up the area. Finding a drop of blood must be horrendous.

Just the falling debris would of created enough friction heat to evaporate any evidence. I hope they do identify more as technology improves but I think all must come to terms that for the many, that will never be possible.

the USA basically does a 9/11 to other countries ever day with its 25.000 bombs/year...but the 9/11 from like 20 years ago will never get old...hypocrites LOL

What countries have we bombed? What countries have we flown planes into buildings?

25,000 bombs per year. Can you quote the sources for that information?

We’ve dropped bombs in Kuwait possibly but not three thousand killed. If any bomb killed many people, the news media would still be covering it.

Eighteen years ago; I heard on tv today about the 9/11 attacks and the first responders were on The View. I didn’t watch it but heard a little of it while getting ready for the doctor appointment I had.

It will never get old. We will never forget. It’s part of our history.
