Racist Trump supporter loses admission to Harvard over racist texts

Another day in another Trump supporter fucks up their future prospects. Why do racist Trump supporters think there's no repercussions for being hateful bigoted ass hole?

Racist Trump supporter loses admission to Harvard over racist texts

A pro-gun Parkland school shooting survivor has lost his admission to Harvard University over recently revealed racist remarks.

Kyle Kashuv broke with many of his classmates on gun safety laws after a February 2018 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, and he was accepted to attend the Ivy League university after working as a conservative activist.

However, the 18-year-old Kashuv announced Monday, that admission was rescinded after texts and other derogatory comments he made nearly two years ago were reported.

"A few weeks ago, I was made aware of egregious and callous comments classmates and I made privately years ago – when I was 16 years old, months before the shooting – in an attempt to be as extreme and shocking as possible,” Kashuv explained. “I immediately apologized.”

The texts and Skype messages show Kashuv using racial slurs and making derogatory remarks, and classmates said they believed he was racist.

"After the story broke, former peers & political opponents began contacting Harvard urging them to rescind me,” Kashuv complained. “Harvard then sent this letter stating that Harvard ‘reserves the right to withdraw an offer of admission’ and requested a written explanation within 72 hours.

Kashuv said he tried to explain his past statements in writing, and asked Harvard for a chance to defend himself in person, but the university declined and pulled his acceptance.

he could challenge it. he was not an adult

Hi did challenge it. Four months later he got an acceptance letter. Then they reversed it as an error. He asked to meet with them but they declined.

I read that while at the doctor today.

He was sixteen years old, a stupid kid, and has grown up. They should give him the chance to prove he’s changed instead of punishing him for being stupid.

His comments were horrendous and using the N word is wrong. People change as they get older and I’m sure he’s not the only kid who did something dumb but got in.

My doctor is black. I showed her the article and she agreed that he was a dumb stupid kid but deserves a chance.

She’s sure if she looked up her patients online that she’d find racist comments.

Oh I’m sure your “black doctor” said that.

Yet this guy is still governor.

Always double standards with the looney left.

Oh look, he's now the FOX News poster boy. Surprise!

Obviously Harvard don't want racist rednecks, FOX News and OneDumbho do.

Here is the thing.... When you apply to college your acceptance is based on everything you did when you were a kid.... If he walks into court and says "I did this while I was and it shouldn't be held against me" can't the college say "Well, your acceptance was based on everything you did as a minor and if to throw that out you wouldn't qualify".

I understand kids are kids, but.... Kids are dumb today. We taught our kid to be very careful about what she says on her cell and social media at a young age.

↑↑↑ True

The number of married Republican men on Gay dating apps here in conservative Orange County is astounding.

I could care less about people's political views when it comes to sex and business but it is worth noting that a hell of a lot of married Republicans out here like dick and are living a lie with their families :2 cents:

Many kids are stupid and don’t think about the future. Parents are ignorant of their children’s online life.

I think everyone deserves a second chance to show they’ve changed. I’ve talked with two black people so far about this. The doctor was open to allowing him entrance and my appointment today was with my diabetic management liaison. She said he blew his chance already and trying to be cool by using negative comments shows he’s a follower and not a leader.

I agree with both. At least for the most part, I agree. I think he should get the chance to prove that he’s changed. If not, Harvard won’t look bad.

Harvard has done this many times before, so have other colleges.

Harvard rescinded admission for racist comments. It wasn't the first time

when you apply you are an adult not a child. what if they went back and said.. if you ever got a speeding ticket as a teen your car has to be outfitted with a part that keep your car under 40mph for life! god the schools would have been filled with minorities if your thinking was in the 30's - now LOL
