Trump threatens to deport millions beginning next week

Watch the Dems who are "anti-illegal immigrants" throw hissy fits and protests when they start mass deportations.

Quote:

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is threatening to remove millions of people living in the country illegally on the eve of formally announcing his re-election bid.

In a pair of tweets Monday night, Trump said that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement would next week “begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States.”

“They will be removed as fast as they come in,” he wrote.

An administration official said the effort would focus on the more than 1 million people who have been issued final deportation orders by federal judges but remain at large in the country. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to explain the president’s tweets.

It is unusual for law enforcement agencies to announce raids before they take place. Some in Trump’s administration believe that decisive shows of force — like mass arrests — can serve as effective deterrents, sending a message to those considering making the journey to the U.S. that it’s not worth coming.

Trump has threatened a series of increasingly drastic actions as he has tried to stem the flow of Central American migrants crossing the southern border, which has risen dramatically on his watch. He recently dropped a threat to slap tariffs on Mexico after the country agreed to dispatch its national guard and step-up coordination and enforcement efforts.

A senior Mexican official said Monday that, three weeks ago, about 4,200 migrants were arriving at the U.S. border daily. Now that number has dropped to about 2,600.

Immigration was a central theme of Trump’s 2016 campaign and he is expected to hammer it as he tries to fire up his base heading into the 2020 campaign.

Trump will formally launch his re-election bid Tuesday night at a rally in Orlando, Florida — a state that is crucial to his path back to the White House.

How can anyone argue with this. Deporting more than 1 million people who have been issued final deportation orders by federal judges but remain at large in the country.

They are ignoring a court ordered notice and need to be thrown out.

You have no clue of how any of this works, and you also fail to understand what is happening here.

No one disagrees with these people needing to be deported. The question is why are there one million people who need to be deported? Why weren't these people deported after their court dates? Why isn't our immigration system working? Oh, that's right.... Because of Trump's policies, mistakes, gaffs, fuck ups, and inaction, our entire immigration system is completely overwhelmed and unable to do it's job.

The entire Trump administration talks loudly, beats their fists on their chest, but at the end of the day... does nothing. Again.

"We are going to solve the problem with North Korea". Nothing has changed.
"We are going to solve the Middle East problem". Nothing has changed.
"We are going to fix the opiod crisis". Nothing has changed.
"We are going to fix the economy". Made it worse.
"We are gong to secure our borders". Nothing has changed. In fact, made it worse.
"We are going to fix healthcare". Nothing has changed.

See a pattern here? All of Trump's campaign promises.... Not one of them has been handled. Not one. In some cases he made things worse.

Obama deported more illegals than any other citizen. We didn't have illegals flooding the border, and our immigration system was working properly. At the very least, we weren't locking people up in "immigration camps" and treating them like second class citizens.

I can't wait to have this discussion six months from now.... When nothing has happened.

Busty2 06-18-2019 06:51 AM

Trump threatens to deport millions beginning next week

Sure, Sure, lets see if this is yet another broken threat ?

These people should have already been deported, why wait until it gets to a million+ ?

Bladewire 06-18-2019 06:55 AM

Obama still holds the title Depoter in Chief.

Trump has been promising for 3 years to make a dent in illegal immigration and he still hasn't broken Obama's record of deported 400,000 illegal immigrants in one year.

Trump is inadequate and making promises he can't keep, as usual.

King Mark 06-18-2019 07:18 AM

Trump makes a lot of threats and promises. Let's see if he can keep one this time.

RedFred 06-18-2019 07:47 AM

Just something to distract Onedumbho from a failing economy and Trumps criminality.

2MuchMark 06-18-2019 08:08 AM

Practically speaking:
- How can Trump kick-out 1 Million people?
- What would this cost?
- Where will he send them? Assuming its Mexico, what if Mexico doesn't take them?
- How long would this take?

Again practically speaking, this would be a really expensive project. You need law enforcement, computerized people-processing, temporary locations for people to wait while waiting for transportation, food, water, facilities, legal, verification, security, and a thousand other things I'm sure.

Assuming everything works right, A super conservative gustimate is that it would cost about $2000 to $3000 per person, or 2 to 3 billion dollars, probably a lot more. A certain number of people will die and some others will get sick pushing up the cost.

Upon arriving at their destination, they may face anger, homelessness, starvation, or worse.

A Million people deported also means a million people removed from the economy. In locations where many illegal immigrants are living, its possible that a couple of businesses might fail, some places for rent may go out of business, etc. Farms and other businesses that require a cheap labour force will also suffer too. Food prices will go up.

If all illegal immigrants could be processed, and those free of a criminal history could be made legal or put on the path to legal citizenship, it might cost less, and might boost the economy. Trump could still be seen as tough on crime, but as a more compassionate and person and less of a batshit-crazy racist xenophobe. Redhats, Trump and immigrants could get what they all want, Trump would be a slightly better person for it, and the cost for everyone especially the immigrants would be far less.

So can you give us actual instances where his policies resulted in less deported? IMO once a court order is obtained the offending person needs to be locked up and the sentence imposed. Not given any chance to disappear.

How did previous Presidents do solving any of these problems. You made a big mistake here, you pointed out the problems created over the last 50 years by a long line of politicians. He's talking to NK, better than anyone else. No one can solve the ME problem and to promise to is stupid. No one can fix the opiod or healthcare problem in the US until politicians stop taking money from big pharma, this crisis is a making of previos presidents. Noone can fix a problem created over 50 years in 2 or even 10 years. The West buys far too much from the 3rd world and sells too little, Trump didn't create the problem but he's trying to reverse of even slow it down. Democrats are stopping him from securing the border.

You are right nothing has changed but he's trying to change some things, unlike other Presidents who created the problems. By you own statement.

Do illegal immigrants get the choice to return home or locked up in "immigration camps" without choice? So having no extra border barriers stopped more crossing the border!!! Get your arguments right or at least try.

You are right a lot more should be spent on ICE, which party is for that? The people flooding the border is due to what's happening South of the border and not what Obama did. US immigration system was working properly. Criminals are second class citizens, or do you want them on par with Americans?

Of course I can.

He changed the policy so that anyone caught in the US would be arrested and detained. In the past we did a "catch and release" and expected them to show up in court at a later date (which worked). Instead now the immigration department is now a prison system which was quickly and completely overwhelmed. Now instead of the immigration department doing it's job, it's running prisons. When I say "running prisons" it means it's building camps to house them, assigning staff to watch and monitor them, track them, feed them, give them clothes, and give them free medical care. If that is not bad enough, now have entire departments tasked with locating children that have been arrested and are being cared for but have been lost.

This is not true at all. Everyone wants a secure border. Everyone wants to stop illegal immigration. The difference is Republicans want to spend billions without any accountability, while Democrats want details, want to specific, and want to spend money properly. Democrats approved the Secure Fence Act because it was a proper and reasonable bill. Oddly enough, Republicans cannot seem to say the word "fence". They don't want a fence, they want a wall.

No. ICE should be tasked with chasing down criminals, not illegals. There is a difference. They shouldn't be hunting down average people here illegally while they bring their kids to school. ICE operates Special Response Teams and Rapid Response Teams.

That's awesome! They cost far more than that over a lifetime. They come here and 70-80% are on welfare. We pay for their housing, medical and food. Many work under the table and do not pay taxes. We educate their kids at a cost of 15-20K per student per year. Every female that comes across averages 2-3 kids. 3 kids @ 50k a year to school them x 12 yrs is $600,000! That's JUST the education and not the $20-$50k a year in housing, food and medical bennies.

These are not doctors or lawyers we are kicking out. They are low level unskilled workers and many are lazy as fuck.

Wrong, it didn't work and here the real proof. Assuming that those who didn't turn up are the worst it's good to throw them out or lock them up.

In absolute terms, more than 100,000 non-detained immigrants have been ordered to be deported in recent years because they failed to appear before an immigration judge. However, as a percentage, most undocumented immigrants do show up for court.

Court attendance by all types of immigrants
According to Justice Department data from the last five available years, around 60 to 75 percent of non-detained migrants have attended their immigration court proceedings. That’s determined by subtracting the percentage of judgments entered against migrants in their absence (known as an in absentia ruling) from total judgments entered
.

Of course illegal immigrants should be given the choice of returning or face going into a camp. If they're not given that choice, and I can't find any articles about a choice, it's wrong and wastes time and money.

A wall is more secure than a fence, the cost of building either is small compared to the cost of illegal immigration. But you're only interested in getting cheap stuff. So if it comes from China or an illegal immigrant you don't care if an American goes on welfare.

Illegal immigration is a huge problem and the hidden costs are huge, keeping low skilled workers in a country with a shortage of low skilled jobs results in low wages, more unemployed, higher welfare bills, higher police, courts and prison costs, housing problems, healthcare problems and social upheaval. The sweetener is you get cheap fast food, groceries, gardening, etc. The problem is taxes are higher or/and debt is higher.

Illegal immigration is a huge problem. The last President handled it. He deported more illegal immigrants than any other President, he did it without issue, and without drama. Trump talks big but is unable to accomplish anything. The situation at the border was great - illegal immigration was down and the deportation of illegal immigrants was up. Now we have the direct opposite - even worse. Illegal immigration is up, deportations is down, and our entire immigration system is overwhelmed.

That's a big vague.

Hispanic is one of the smaller demographics in US prisons.

What jobs are they taking in sanctuary cities in democrat areas? LA? San Francisco? Vermont is largely a Democrat state; I am guessing they don't have issues with illegal immigrants taking jobs there.

There is a huge difference between building a wall and building a fence. And a wall is not any more effective than a fence.

Paul pretends he doesn't know what we've been telling him , and providing links to, every day for 3 years now.

At least once a week Paul acts like it's brand new info he's never been given, then he goes silent after he's proven wrong. Then a week later he says the same lie. Rinse & repeat.

To be fair it probably is all new to him, he probably has STML

Many people worry about short term memory loss. They think forgetfulness is the first sign of Alzheimer's disease. But not all people with memory problems have Alzheimer's. ... Other causes for memory problems can include aging, medical conditions, emotional problems, mild cognitive impairment, or another type of dementia.

I believe Paul doesn't know what he is talking about when it comes to our immigration issues in the United States. Paul seems to lean heavily to the right when talking. A perfect example of this is when he talks about North Korea. He seems to think Trump has accomplished something just by having two summits with North Korea, even though the end result is nothing happened at either of them and the second one ended in failure (which still hasn't been explained to the American public).

Immigration is a huge problem for the United States. Even more so in the southwestern states like California, Arizona, and Texas. If it was up to me... We would build the "Great Wall Of America". I so not kidding. It would thirty feet tall with guard posts every three hundred yard manned with Marines armed with machine guns. But that isn't realistic. We can't spend billions and billions of dollars on this - plus money to upkeep it. That is just not going to happen. Instead, we identify high traffic areas and put up fences (or walls). That stops some of them, and when we catch them here illegally we arrest them and send them home.

But not Trump. He made an election slogan out of "We are going to build a wall" and then "Mexico will pay for it". Everyone in South America saw this and said "Shit, if we are going to go now is the time". So they all decided to come up in large numbers. Trump created this problem and then made it worse with trying to lock everyone up.

Paul needs to stay in his lane. I am not qualified to debate legal or illegal immigration in Europe, and reading websites and news sites that may or may not be slanted will not change that. Paul doesn't understand what is happening here and thinks Trump is all good. Trump has the lowest approval rating of any president in my lifetime. And maybe Baddog's lifetime too.

No because unemployment in the US is less than 5%. So not only are you wrong, but they would be contributing to the economic growth of the US.

No. Refugees get TEMPORARY shelter. Legal immigrants may get welfare but welfare contributes to the local economy, and with the job rate at only 5% not all immigrants would be on welfare for very long.

(Thanks Trump Golf courses!)

But they still work, and, they do the work that most Americans do not want to do, such as help in the agriculture sectors. Without under-the-counter immigrants, your fruits and vegetables will go up in price.

Good education usually results in better jobs that pay more. Making more money beings buying more things and more contributions to the economy, and paying more taxes.

Your kids get the same access to public schools and cost the same to educate. You already mentioned housing.

Maybe, but that's what proper vetting is for. If they are criminals, kick them out, I agree. If they are doctors, fast-track their Visas, I agree too. If they are common folk like you and me, give them a chance.

The collective IQ of the US is about to go up.

Average weight will go down.

Also an increase in overall genetic fitness.

I'll be so happy to see millions of these beaners gone. They are disgusting.

More bullshit out of Trump's mouth and dumb red hat believe him. This is another M<exico will pay for the wall lie..

In order to start rounding up illegals and deporting them massive budget increases would have to be approved for ICE/DHS and new holding/processing facilities would be required.

Once again OneDumbHo falls for empty promises.. When will he ever learn?
