I was thinking of one of those spa packages.

i already ordered a slew of flowers and a ballon, pretty original idea, huh?

At first I was thinking of a parachute jump but she's afraid of heights so now i'm confused.

Flowers is good, but since they receive like 10 tons of tulips each mothers day, I hoped to find something else this year...but it'll likely end up with a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates. Like always...

Flowers and cards are crap.

Do what moms really want, and be a son or daughter, call them up, plan something, make them feel special again.

fuck cheap flower gifts. so fake seeing sons and daughters just in line like valentine, doing it because they HAVE TO, not because they WANT to.

I hate the fact im 2k miles from my mom. make sure you enjoy it while you can.

I know what I'd love to recieve for Mother's Day: I'd like a day at a salon or maybe a gift certificate for a few visits to the local masseuse/day spa.

Give a mom some relaxation for Mother's Day. You might also go so far as to pre-pay a sitter for a day & evening (or weekend! Call grandparents and arrange to have the kids visit!) and then take her out to dinner, rent some movies of her choice, or rent a nice suite somepllace and let her have the weekend off. Moms love this!

Its just like xmas and the other bullshit holidays, most only do it becayse they have to.

I buy my mom things all the time, and talk to her often as well.

But i do it because I WANT TO, not because Mothers Day came again.
