Trump has basically totally fucked American car makers and any other business selling in the Chinese market, the Chinese Government have been telling the masses to avoid American products, he's cost America trillions, sure you'll still get pie crumbs, just no pie 4u.

Every President since Richard Nixon has totally fucked American industry and business. Trump is the first to say no more, without China buying a lot in return.

Since 2001, the United States has lost 2.8 million manufacturing jobs to China — that despite U.S. factory workers being far more productive.
Partly, it can be explained by China’s cheaper workers: The average hourly wage for Chinese manufacturing workers is less than a tenth that of their average U.S. counterparts, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
It being about twice as cheap to live in China, those lower Chinese wages go further. But Chinese factory workers also tend to work longer hours, making them more appealing to some employers.

A new report puts the total jobs lost to China at 3.4 million between 2001 and 2017. That's 3.4 million tax payers turned into lower wage earners or unemployed, the companies that paid taxes in the US, the goods travelling around the US, US sourced services and goods, etc.
According to Census data, the United States has lost more than 60,000 factories since 2001. There are a lot of articles saying the same. The loss of taxes has been catastrophic for the West. AND the reason for escalating debts, not building arms and military MADE in the US. American money spent and earned in America.
WTO rules on trade are as out dated as the dodo. They claim "The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an intergovernmental organization which regulates international trade. "The problem is it doesn't regulate it, it allows free trade. So if you have a slave workforce or very low paid, you can trade freely with countries that have to pay their citizens more.
The sad part is Europe isn't doing the same to countries with cheap labour and losing jobs by the day.
The hardship now is to stop China taking more decent jobs and factories. The problem is that the jobs won't come back at the same rate as automation will replace more in coming years. Both at the bottom and towards the top.
I'll put this into a context you will understand. These are your customers or potential customers losing their jobs and wages. Who will you or your children sell to when the jobs are gone and 1,000s applying for 1 job?
