The Russians DID help trump

New study shows Russian propaganda may really have helped Trump

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/pol...trump-n1025306

Bladewire 07-01-2019 04:42 PM

Yes, the Mueller report went into great detail about this. the same people who say the Mueller report said no collusion conveniently ignore have damning to report is to Trump and his felon associates.

We may have to start calling you Rochliar

The study, by researchers at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, does not prove that Russian interference swung the election to Trump.

King Mark 07-01-2019 05:43 PM

It helped about as much as brands help their sales with black friday.

Most Americans are stupid. Sucks to say it, but it is what it is.

The internet is a hell of a drug.

"The study, by researchers at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, does not prove that Russian interference swung the election to Trump. But it demonstrates that Trump's gains in popularity during the 2016 campaign correlated closely with high levels of social media activity by the Russian trolls and bots of the Internet Research Agency, a key weapon in the Russian attack."

The Mueller report tells us that the Trump campaign was sending precise polling data to the Russians on a weekly basis, and the Russians were using it to target people in swing states.

But no worries, it's a nothing burger. Nothing to see here.

It's been confirmed the Russians spent 100k on Facebook ads lol.

For reference, Clinton spent $768 million :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

It's stunning. We have over a hundred points of contacts with the Russians. Secreet meetings, the coffee boy flying to Europe to get coffee, the campaign manager meeing with Russians, secret phone calls and texts....

Meantime, NOTHING has been accomplished. Not a fucking thing. "Oh, but the economy is good". Bullshit. The economy was good a year before Trump walked into office.

Rochard 07-01-2019 06:02 PM

Don't forget that secret meeting with Jeff Sessions and the Russian abmasador....

Nothing strange about that at all.

huey 07-01-2019 06:03 PM

Delusional if you think some facebook ads swayed the election.
The lefts hero Comey bringing up the emails again 11 days before the election fucked her big time.

if you had ANYTHING to do with online marketing, you might understand that purchased Facebook Ad's possibly wouldn't be the method an military based assault on your democracy would go down.

Here in Australia we have 3 political parties.
The party that's voted in, the party in opposition, and Murdoch media.

I'd guess Murdoch employs more trolls than Putin ;)

Comey was certainly the major turning point for the undecided voter, it enabled the marriage of the Putin and Murdoch propaganda machines.

How many people use Facebook? Everyone.
How many people get their news from Facebook? Most.
How many people's opinions can be swayed thanks to things like memes, bloggers and fake news sites? Most.

It is a completely believable idea that Facebook was used to push votes to Trump.

Republicans keep saying that Mueller found no collusion, but that's not what the report says. There was coordination and contact with Russia but there's no evidence which could get a conspiracy indictment or conviction. The Trump campaign knows they're guilty. And they're also pretty fucking dumb when you think about the fact that most of this Russian contact was known to most people before the Mueller report even came out. They're the most buffoonish traitors ever.

So the ads said Hillary bad orange man good and this swayed voters? How about regular Americans could see she was as shady as any other politician and they wanted a change. Fbi thought it was worth mentioning 11 days before election.

what they are doing is called "lying by omission". the ads were not right leaning. the very purpose was to divide and they were for both left and right. no one launched a pro trump campaign in facebook to help trump get elected.

You Americans talk like the Electoral college is a new thing when its how your elections have worked from the start.

Five times a candidate has won the popular vote and lost the election. Andrew Jackson in 1824 (to John Quincy Adams); Samuel Tilden in 1876 (to Rutherford B. Hayes); Grover Cleveland in 1888 (to Benjamin Harrison); Al Gore in 2000 (to George W. Bush); Hillary Clinton in 2016 (to Donald J. Trump).

Take California out of the picture in 2016 and trump wins popular vote too.
Popular vote of California 2016 Hillary 8,753,788 Trump 4,483,810

Computer nerds think they are smarter than everybody else and that middle America are a bunch of yokels.

Any person that has worked hard has a mortgage and raised kids could see that Clinton was just another run of the mill politician and voted for something different.
You might get what you wish for in 2024.

Indeed.

I always thought it bizarre that Trump hated on Comey. He as good as handed the POTUS to Trump when he re-opened the email thing, only to declared it closed again 3 days later after the damage had been done.

Paul Markham 07-02-2019 03:30 AM

The top contributor to Trump winning was the Democrats. They put up Hillary the worse candidate possible. Someone with a shady past and doing the best to hide it, someone who has been in a government which has made a lot of Americans poorer, then her policies did nothing to address the problems.

Trump on the other hand understood the voters, something so called clever politicians don't.

He knew the animosity of people who were losing jobs and pay to illegal immigrants and simply don't believe the "they do jobs Americans don't want" spin. They have had their companies move to China or companies that promised them new jobs after their old ones had gone move as well. And Trump banged on about these things in speech after speech, while Hillary promised more of the same.

Result was enough of the middle ground switched allegiance and Trump won.

Still the Hillary crew don't get it, how will they stem the millions of jobs and dollars lost to China and illegal immigrants.

Will they get off the LBGT band horse and realise that at best the tiny percentage of Democrats who don't vote Democrat aren't going to swing anything.

Thats only part of the story.

By September 2016, two months before the U.S. presidential election, the Internet Research Agency was working with an overall monthly budget that reached over $1.25 million. It employed hundreds of employees, a graphics department, a data analysis department, a search-engine optimization department, an IT department and a finance department, according to an indictment filed last year by Mueller's team.

And it hasn't stopped.

Of course. They have NO choice now but to play it to the hilt and see how it turns out. To do their patriotic duty now would mean all loss of power for them for many years. Why do you think they're rigging elections with Gerrymandering, which they've been given unfettered access to now with their stacked Supreme Court which shouldn't exist right now.
