Is cannabis or alcohol worse for you?
Strange conclusion the officials come to when the wrong one is asked.

Here in the US the laws can change drastically depending on where you are. In Oregon it is legal. In Texas it is not. I can buy a thc oil vape cartridge for between $20-$40. Possessing that $20 cart in Texas is a felony.
|
Alcohol is much more toxic and addictive.
|
smoke, oil, and alcohol are not good. who cares? you want hippies camping in your yard? when weed stops working people switch to something stronger. they know that. when you get on that you get violent. why do you think hitler made meth for his troops? so they would be fearless killers.

I'd say alcohol simply because of the strain it puts on your vital organs and it has a much more definable negative effect on one's lifespan.
|
Forget about how either harms an individual, look at how the drugs use effects others.
And alcohol wins that prize more than any other drug, its been destroying families and lives in mass since its creation. |
alcohol by far
|
Alcohol can be used as a cleaning and antiseptic agent. If someone wants to argue if that's better to put in your body than cannabis then they've lost too many brain cells from alcohol.
And have you ever heard of two stoned people fighting? I'll bet you've heard about drunks fighting. |

I've seen people drink themselves to death. Currently watching 2 family members do it now.
Never seen anybody weed themselves to death. Smoking is bad tho. No matter what it is. Luckily you dont have to smoke weed to utilize it. I smoke a lot of weed. I went the vape route for a while, but I'm back to my paper joints. I wish I could enjoy vaping as much as i do smoking, but it ain't the same. |

Your views on a lot of shit are very old school. If I had to guess I'd say you're late 50's. |
How the fuck do you die from weed? I call bullshit on the whole study...paul posted it so its guaranteed to be bullshit...

My british heritage allows me to have a pretty strong tolerance towards alcohol. Weed doesn't suit me well.

Both are addicting in their own way. Alcohol in general though some people can drink once a week and be happy. Marijuana is addictive because people enjoy being high.
Both allow escape from reality if used properly. I’m dealing with a doctor who doesn’t like prescribing CBD products but is researching the use medicinally for me. In my situation he’d allow pills so I mentioned THC pills. In high school they were a buck a pill. I’ll know in September. Alcohol can ruin your liver. Smoking pot can affect your lungs. Supposedly. Cigarettes have carcinogens that affect your lungs but homegrown pot shouldn’t be chemically treated. If watered with filtered water instead of rain, pollutants and airborne chemicals won’t affect it. I gave that argument to my doctor. He jokingly said to buy pot on the street and smoke it. I told him the above information and he was impressed. I explained that it’s common sense about rain and pot. Alcohol can give you a hangover. Pot gives you a need to eat. I’d rather be full than hungover |

Health wise I'm sure MJ smoke could cause COPD and emphysema.
Society wise a very high percentage of people are in prison for crimes ( murder and violent crime) they committed under the influence. |

And weed doesn't make people foam at the mouth bro. Weed in his soup? When you were a kid? You lying? |
Alcohol is both physically addictive and deadly with a 10% mortality rate just when quitting an alcohol addiction. Cannabis is neither addictive or deadly.
I don't use either one. |

There may be deaths from someone smoking pot and falling off a roof but there is not one documented death from weed itself. You would have to ingest 1500 pounds of marijuana within 15 minutes to reach its toxicity level.
What cracks me up living in a legal state is you have a few prohibition doctors who every once in a while will make claims that since its become legal more kids have ended up in the emergency room. So some dumbass eats a brownie and freaks out thinking he's dying. How do they get treated? They have them sleep it off. Alcohol on the other hand is poison and is responsible for more deaths than all drugs combined. It is the real gateway drug and the one responsible for more crimes and has broken up more families. |

A coroner in Louisiana that experts didn't agree with. The coroner, who has been in his post since 1988, says it’s the first death on record solely as a result of excessive THC. Experts have, however, cast doubt on the ruling pointing out that the amount of THC needed to kill a human being is much higher than that found in the woman’s body. Dr Montegut is standing by his report and told the New Orleans Advocate: “It looked like it was all THC because her autopsy showed no physical disease or afflictions that were the cause of death. The woman's boyfriend said she went to hospital complaining of a chest infection three weeks before her death but was sent home with over-the-counter medicine. Addiction expert Professor Bernard Le Fol estimated that any dangerous level would be between 100 and 1,000 times higher than the THC level found in the woman’s blood, the Advocate reported. Former White House drugs policy adviser Keith Humphreys also cast doubt on whether the woman died of a THC overdose. He said that with the vast amounts of marijuana consumed in the US every year, it's hard to imagine that more overdose deaths wouldn't be occurring if THC was toxic at consumable levels. “We know from really good survey data that Americans use cannabis products billions of times a year, collectively,” he said. “Not millions of times, but billions of times a year. So, that means that if the risk of death was one in a million, we would have a couple thousand cannabis overdose deaths a year.” Blamed weed based on his own incompetence. |

I later went to the shop next to the hotel and bought a liter of Smirnoff vodka and 4 regular size cans of redbull for less that 20 Euros! I think that hotel drink was the most expensive drink Ive ever had in my life (For what it was...) Never again ! |

Weed, naw - even as an occasional recreational smoker back in the 80s/90s it never appealed much to me. Scrambled my thoughts too much...never found it enjoyable. But in general (for others)...there's no doubt alcohol is worse for people than pot, and that's even considering the arguable issue of weed being a gateway drug (for some). |
