Trump said he'd save coal... this week 1800 coal workers lost their jobs
 

All those dumbasses who wouldn't listen to Democrats and vote for retaining instead listened to fake promises from a fake billionaire.

He told them he'd bring back coal just because that's what they wanted to hear so they'd vote for that. Democrats told them the truth, coal is dead the market has moved on, it's time to get training for a new industry.

Coal workers didnt like that much so they didnt vote for Democrats instead listened to hollow promises from a liar who would do and say anything to win..


Last month marked the 1st month that renewable energy out produced coal in the US for the entire month.

This week 2 coal producers went bankrupt laying off 1,800 workers. If only they listened to the truth..

I care zero that coal miners lost their jobs. The whole world just got a little healthier because of it. Sure it might be a little tough for them but with the unemployment rate being so low they will get new jobs in no time.

Dumb-ass Trump tried. He's trying to squash EV cars and green energy because one of his bumbuddies in coal gave him lots of money for his campaign. Both of of these idiots didn't take into account is the market. The market for coal, gas and oil is shrinking. And even if it was growing, coal mining jobs are already being replaced by robots. No matter how you cut it, miners should never expect to hold on to their jerbs.

The market decided coal was dead long before Trump was elected. They are simply trying to fuck America for their last cash out..

Saving coal is like saving the horse drawn carriage, it's yesterday's fuel. Promising to save it was stupid. those guys were never going to get Democrats to promise to save it so no votes to be won.

The miners will probably end upon welfare and that will add to the countries tax bill.

Actually, yes we can. Republicans seem do to this all the time. They make promises they cannot keep and when they do this, no matter what happens they look bad.

Mr. tRump promised to save coal. If he failed, he failed to keep a campaign promise. If he did it, tRump would still look bad because he is protecting an industry that is not needed and is bad for the environment.

This is the not the first time tRump has done this; In fact, it's happened often. Another example is healthcare. During the campaign tRump promised to fix healthcare. Although Republicans have been bitching about this for five or six years now they have yet to come up with any kind of a viable plan. The Republican party has zero interest in fixing healthcare, which is why they have no plan. In the end tRump was unable to "fix healthcare" and instead just removed the requirement to have it, which resulted in less Americans having healthcare. No matter what tRump did here it was bad. Either tRump would have failed to keep his promise, or kept his promise and spent years deliving some bullshit that was worse, or... As he did in this case, tRump just fucked it up and said "Problem fixed".

No one wants to save the coal industry except for tRump and his hardcore suporters. In the past, coal mining used to be a vast, huge, profitable, and important industry. However, it's been phased out - we use natrual gas, wind, and solar. Coal is bad all around - it's difficult and dangerous to pull out of the ground, it's killing coal miners eventually, and it's bad for the environment when it's burned. We need to stop this.

At least with steel it's something we can all get behind. They recently built a new section of the Bay Bridge here in San Francisco, and the steet used for the project came from China. I think that's horrible.

But not coal. No one really suports coal.
