Paxum exchange rates bad again?

After Paxum disabled USD wire withdrawals in Europe, I accepted having to exchange USD to EUR to withdraw, because USD->EUR exchange rate was set to a reasonable rate.

Today I checked again. I get 2% less EUR than mid-rate. That's a total spread of 4%...

Paxum, please set back the reasonable exchange rates until it's possible to withdraw in USD in Europe.

BigFurry 07-10-2019 05:57 AM

Bump for answers.

Also, when will be USD WIRE Withdrawals reenabled in the EU?

Bladewire 07-10-2019 06:28 AM

If they don't fuck you one way they'll fuck you another :2 cents:

I use 2 banks and one of them charges me 2.5% and the other one over 3% on all currency exchanges. And you are crying over a 2% exchange rate?

Yes. There are some services that exchange close to mid-rate now.

A month ago Paxum had a fee about 0.5-0.7%, the current 2% means tripling the exchange fee.

Sec 07-10-2019 07:49 AM

It's ridiculous that they selectively disable USD wires not based on your bank account, but based on your account location.
If it doesn't come back, then I'm going to push our sponsors for alternative payment methods.

And before it was what? I think it was the same 2% for many many years.

You can push all you want but nobody is doing USD wires anymore in the adult industry. Our program uses paxum and is the only system that allows me to fund them in USD instead of EUR.

"Nobody" is incorrect, there are a lot of sponsors that support USD wire transfers, ranging from small sponsors to large sponsors (like AdultForce).
One of our sponsors who wanted to get promoted by us, was using payment system (similar to Verotel) that we didn't support, that sponsor is now in the process of completely changing to one that we support. So payment method types do matter.

Have a look here: gfy.com/22502547-post3.html
You can ask Ruth to enable it for your account. (She's a better help than the standard Paxum support.)

Miguel 07-22-2019 02:58 PM

I hope they will restore that good exchange rate soon!

Andreweb 07-23-2019 03:30 AM

This is why I don't use them anymore!

You mean the paxum91, paxum81, Paxum46, Paxum27, Paxum39 etc guys? I was always wondering who these, so called, support people are.. They never introduce themselves, and it usually takes them a few days to answer a ticket..

That is bad news. What happened?

femdomdestiny 08-01-2019 05:27 AM

a simple question: what is the best alternative to paxum at this moment?

Paul&John 08-01-2019 05:28 AM

Any news on the crappy exchange rates?

none

a sponsor is having issues with epayments today

Holy Damage 08-01-2019 10:24 AM

At least you can withdraw your money

femdomdestiny 08-01-2019 05:51 PM

I think we need to try to make some deal here and start using something that already exists and it is well established. If we find such service, make a thread where webmasters willing to accept will leave their confirmation, then the thread can be sent to sponsors and we can demand that they support all that.

For example, https://epayservices.com/ , anyone using them? I never had a chance to try, or ther was no real need until now.

BigFurry 08-02-2019 02:06 AM

Just checked. Exchange rate still bad.

Adraco 08-02-2019 02:40 AM

No, those exchange rates are not good at all.

magneto664 08-02-2019 01:29 PM

today I probably made the last paxum payment for my company account in UK
so this is a example:
1000 gbp withdraw to uk is a 1,240.23 USD + 25 USD wire fee. (paxum)
in total : 1265.23 (by paxum)
my Barclays bank:
for a 1000 gbp want ONLY a 1152.80 USD

=
1265.23-1152.80=112.43 USD
=
in total: 112.43 USD = 92.48 Pound sterling (difference) beetween paxum and CLEAR bank transfer with usually cost a 50 usd from sponsor in bank to bank transaction.

to be clear:
to withdraw a 1000 GBP you need almost 100 GBP in WEES - almost 10% commission -
WHO CAN FUCK YOU BETTER THAN?
on Monday i will only make a sure all uk banks fees are clear and know for me - and

good save the queen.

BigFurry 09-04-2019 03:05 AM

Any update on this? Haven't seen Paxum chime in.

femdomdestiny 09-20-2019 04:34 PM

fuck them. I've withdrawn some money and it cost me around 200 bucks. I am moving to epayservices will only use paxum for a few small sponsors.

You can't compare Barclays to Paxum. 2% is not really high for a conversion that Paxum charges. See how much Paypal or Payoneer charges if you really want to complain.

Second of all none of those would even work with Adult companies but Paxum does.

And also try getting wires to your Barclays bank from Adult companies to see how fast your bank account gets shut down due to Compliance or Moral issues.

BigFurry 01-20-2020 12:19 PM

Any update? Exchange rate still seems bad and USD withdrawals disabled :(

gorillaz_ 01-20-2020 03:24 PM

@bigfurry you are one of few reasonable posters here .

how you think those crooks can make money ?

ianmoone332000 01-21-2020 08:01 AM

Transfer Funds -> Between Accounts

mrpornlive 07-30-2021 10:29 AM

I live in France and the exchange rate is bad too.

Has any of you tried to order the credit card and do transfer Paxum ---> Paxum Credit card?

So you pay only the fees that your local bank applies when withdrawing? Mine is 0,025% so much less than the 2,5% of paxum

Thinking about ordering the card but would like to know if it's worth it :thumbsup

UnionPay card ATM withdrawal fee is $2 + 3% of amount withdrawn.

mrpornlive 07-30-2021 12:34 PM

What do you think ? Is it worth it? compared to the bad exchange rate?

Denny 07-30-2021 02:03 PM

For me it's more convenient to withdraw by card than EFT. EFT is $2.5 but in my case there are two converiosns involved: Paxum converts USD to EUR and then my bank converts EUR to CZK.

adultchatpay 07-31-2021 01:49 AM

EFT has $5 fee for me, the conversion is not that great though.
But a lot less cheaper compared to Wire or Withdraw to own card.

romeo22 08-02-2021 04:05 AM

Paxum takes your money on lega way.
So same with the previous payment options.
I still remember epass it was tto real to be true

~Evilin~ 08-05-2021 03:45 AM

Tried to send the funds to my debit card (not paxum's)
but no result... usually it takes 1-2 mins

support told:
Quote:

Kindly note that the withdrawal request is currently pending because of a technical issue on our payment processor end.

Please be advised that the transfer will be rejected in the shortest time possible, and then you will be able to process the withdraw again.
how long it will take?
Ruth doesn't answer

I do not like paxum with its bad service even more than Paypal.. but PP 99% sends all funds to a card without any troubles
