A 2010 Council of Europe report identified Hashim Thaci (nom de guerre - "The Snake"), Prime Minister of Kosovo, as leader of the “Drenica” group, an organized crime syndicate which dominated the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). Thaci took control of the heroine trade and trafficking of captives’ organs. These captives mostly included kidnapped Serb civilians and captured POWs who were held alive in camps only long enough until their organs were sold on the black market. This operation continued after the war under the noses of NATO and the US. Ramush Haradinj was one of the key KLA commanders who oversaw operations and personally partook in the murder of captive Serb civilians and POWs.
The KLA also spearheaded the postwar 2004 pogrom where the remaining Serbs of Kosovo were driven out of most of the province. Despite this orgy of destruction which spared nothing including some of Europe’s oldest monastic centers, Kosovo was recognized as an independent country by most NATO and EU countries.
Thaci and Haradinaj remain the most Macabre of Clintons’ friends. Under the pretext of "Humanitarian Intervention" the Clintons ordered NATO’s bombing campaign against Yugoslavia which had launched a counterinsurgency campaign against the KLA. But the goals of NATO's campaign were part of the Clinton's "Nation Building" strategy which was aimed at establishing control of regions previously under Russia's sphere of influence. Thaci, Haradinaj and the KLA, who control most of the Heroine trade in New York City, contributed to the Clintons’ presidential campaigns. And Kosovo, one of Europe's smallest regions, remains the largest contributor of European manpower to ISIL in Syria and Iraq.
