onlyfans.. how does anyone search the site?
 

So I'm logged in to onlyfans, and see the search function.. but no matter the search term, I get "Nothing was found" I assume this can't be correct and I'm doing something wrong, but what? I get the same 'Nothing was found' message no matter if it's a keyword like 'blowjob' or an actual profile name eg

side note: I see if you aren't logged in you don't even get the search option, which seems like a strange thing to not have available? I get they likely want to encourage users to make an account, but surely that's far more likely if virgin users can search on-site, where they are far more likely to find someone that entices them into creating one?

Anyway I'm babbling again - main reason for the post is as per thread title.. how the fuck do you find profiles/niches from within onlyfans.com?

Using google to search seems to work somewhat:

right, which is how I had to do it to find if in fact any pages showed up at all. (Almost) no reg'd user is going to do that though, so how do they browse the various models & niches?

on onlyfans, as previews? where & how?

They have an awesome concept, they get you to pay, once you pay for one girl and get her videos you'll right away pay another $10 for each girl..nuf said! :)

how, when you can't see what other models/girls they have from within the site? I use another platform where the search function works for either model names or niche/keyword, that also has a bio section where you can list your niches that feature in your content.

Onlyfans gives me:

no search results for anything

no bio

no list of niches that a model has within her area

I get the concept, and think it's great.. what's stumping me is why I should use it as a platform? 2.5m users there and none of them can just use the search box, or see anything other than a header image *if* they go to google and type site:onlyfans.com ?

I have to be missing something here, I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong to be unable to find ANY model or niche unless I hit onlyfans from an external page that links directly to a model/studio. I'd like to utilise the platform if I can, and tap into those 2.5m users, but I'm not seeing how to unless I link directly from an external page (where I'd sooner link to a different platform that gives the surfer a much better idea of what's inside).

Have I just hit the site on a day where the search function is glitching (I'm guessing this has to be the likely explanation)? As why have a search tool there if no results are ever returned?

that's great, and like similar platforms. Except.. if I'm logged into onlyfans, I cannot find you or your content. eg british, milf, public, pissing, or even typing nataliek into the search bar brings back "nothing was found"

I've emailed them to find out why the search tool seems to be surplus to requirements, I was hoping to save a bit of time with this thread and a "no dumbass, this is how you use the search" reply from those au fait with onlyfans but I'm not sure anyone has understood that's an issue, maybe my delivery just sucks :1orglaugh

Both. It seems to be that you can search only your 'feed' for want of a better word.. eg logged in as performer the search works but ONLY on your own posts - and possibly whoever you follow... I don't follow anyone so not sure if that's correct.

Haven't heard back as yet from the email ticket, but try finding any content other than your own (and as I say *possibly* others you already follow).. I don't think it can be done. Which seems a wasted opportunity or several, assuming it's not just a glitch. I don't want to jump the gun and start moaning for what might just be a glitch, or my ineptitude, so I'll just hang on until they get back to me :thumbsup

right, but only to search posts of those they have subscribed to it seems.

eg manyvids.. you type a search term in the search bar, you get a list of everything, regardless if you have bought their vids, are a fan of any model, and so on. As it stands right now with onlyfans, it's like going to youtube and only getting results returned from channels you are subscribed to, which doesn't seem conducive to more overall sales for everyone, unless I'm missing something of course.

Ok so I got a reply today, for anyone interested. GSpot is correct, here's what onlyfans said to be a touch more specific:

This part: "The number of results shown is limited" = restricted to no results at all, as far as I can see. Also, there is NO search function available for mobile users presently ("We recommend to use desktop web-browser if you're currently using the mobile version. We will include search bar functionality to the mobile version of our website in the future, our development team is fixing final adjustments of the new design to make it flawless.")

This part: "Users get full access to search results after their first successful subscription payment" = I assume is NOT restricted to only showing posts from people you are already subscribed to, and other users can find you by keyword.

Seems like shooting yourself in the foot to me, forcing users to subscribe before being able to use the search function (and severely limiting SERPs by doing so) but obviously I'm free to create my own platform and do so, if I'm that bothered :)

At least it clears up that users CAN find you, albeit only qualified spenders. Not a bad thing in itself, but a heck of a lot of potentials left on the table.

Anyway, for anyone else curious, there's the answer. Case closed!

It's crazy the amount of $$'s i've seen some very average chicks making with onlyfans...

this i guess is correct & if so, hence my sudden flood of new fans when using certain keywords...

most of my fans sign up with "pee" "outdoors" & "publicblowjobs"

facials & creampies always seems to do well, but i notice i make just as many new fans a day when i´m playing alone, but outdoors and pissing, so, with this said, it´s obviously the way i think i´m going to go :2 cents:
