On a direct path to Cape Cod and surrounding areas. Target had police presence because of the run on bottled water and food. The news said that people were buying two dozen bottles of water. Obviously they’ve not been through a hurricane here and are panicking.

I’m on a small hill and water runoff will keep on going down to the pond. If it floods, this house is up the hill away from the street with a flat backyard. I’m secure that I won’t float away!

Anyone else in the path of Dorian? Dorian and not durian lol.

My prediction is that it will hit at Cape Hatteras.

Saturday morning is iffy because the storm route is changing. It might swing back but that depends on intensity, weather shift and godnose what else.

I’ll watch the morning news tomorrow. I have a doctor appointment and then shopping for groceries if I’m able. I want to go to see the shelves in Walmart and check for Strawberry PopTarts!

Looking to me like it is going to nail Hatteras. Might go across Cape Fear first though.

Now they’re saying they we’ll get 70 mph winds or a minor storm.

Walmart was out of many brands of ice cream, white bread, eggs and pineapple for some reason.

I used to buy local eggs years ago but here they buy supermarket eggs only. One carriage had gallons of water piled high and people were asking why someone would stock up. I and others said media hype.

My ENT appointment was today and when we got there, no patients were in the waiting room of thirty chairs. Leaving there was no one but during my appointment I heard one man only. I mentioned this to the receptionist and she said that most canceled due to the upcoming storm. I couldn’t stop laughing over that. Storm may be in three days so they cancel a doctor appointment just in case. She said that they may close on Friday because every patient has canceled.

No waiting today except for the billing part.

How were the pop tart rations?

We were supposed to get the storm today with 75 mph winds and torrential rain.

I forgot about it until it was just mentioned to me. No wind, no rain, no extreme heat or cold. Just another day in September.

I’ll watch the news later on to see why nothing happened but we got major warnings and local police went to houses in warning.

How many of these did you make so far? Or am I having de ja vu?

Well, today was just today and I didn’t log in until around 7:00 pm tonight. If others posted that the storm never arrived then you may have read it. Police didn’t ring the front doorbell until 8:00 am and I was in bed without any online access.

How bad was it? Just saw the news and they’re laughing at Trump who said this was going to be a massive storm. Destruction is bad in some areas and others look like a normal beach day has gone by.

I’ve a friend in Virginia but he flew to California for a week to stay away from the storm. He worried that an earthquake would hit while there! He wasn’t expecting too much storm surge but he rebuilt his home just five years ago. He wants to move but his grandchildren are very close and he’s against moving from them.

Just watching a news clip from Alabama and the storm didn’t hit that area hard but East of the area is a mess of downed wires and broken homes. Hopefully you’re not near there.
