Wasn't good for me. I'll give it another listen but it seemed to all build up with nowhere epic to go. There was no Parabola or Schism or Lateralus on this album. Nothing grabbed me.

just checked ticket prices for the nov 19 Brooklyn show and even the nosebleeds are 250 bucks each.

Yeah, I'm not following the storyline either. I'm going to listen to it over the next few days. I'm not surprised about the ticket prices. They don't tour often and when they do, it just may as well be their last time...

The last tour go around was not near as bad and tickets were reasonable. I saw them 3 times within around a year. Twice in Mexico and once in San Antonio.

Did not realize they finally got to the point of releasing the new album, I figured it was still tied up in legal garbage, that was the last I heard maybe a year or so ago.

I'll check it out. One of my favorite bands since I was in high school.

Feels like a Danny Carey solo album (which I find awesome) . . . hindustani metal music of some sorts (except for the last track 7empest).

That's awesome dude, it looks like if I want to see them I have to travel. I've seen them once during their last tour and it was a blast. I still had to travel some hours to get there.

Yea I love those eastern-influenced drum rhythms...
