Chicago, The Music Group

I was never a big fan but some songs were okay. Just heard “Color My World” I think is the name and it still sounds like a funeral dirge. How did songs like this one get airplay and popularity?

Now is Lynyrd Skynrd after CCR and my musical psyche is happy.

Check out their first 3 records (all double albums), especially their debut (Chicago Transit Authority). Amazing! And they rock as hard as Skynyrd or CCR on those first records. By Chicago VI (6) it was all downhill.

I had albums by them and always felt that they went downhill after the lead singer left. Terry something? Without looking it up I’m fuzzy on the details but they were good at first. That funeral dirge isn’t even eligible for soft rock.

I don’t remember the heavy rock but I’m listening to John Fogerty now and he’s taken over my mind. I could orgasm from his voice!
