Oh god. One of my favorite bands and I saw them too many times to count in the early 80’s.

This really shocked me. Eddie Money, Ric and who’s next? My favorite singers and bands are old yet it doesn’t seem like it.

The Cars were kind of neat, blending old school classic rock with new wave.

One of the neat things about music today is old albums are being re-released with new music, demos and the like. When I heard about his passing I logged into Amazon Music and checked out the cars, and discovered one of my favorite Cars song had a demo version....

I was wondering why I kept hearing there music all day. Sad day. Reminds me of my childhood.

I think you're confused. "Abbey Road" is The Beatles eleventh album, not The Cars first.

I'll take Sgt Peppers over Abbey Road any day. Actually I'd take Revolver and Rubber Soul over Abbey Road. But I guess if you get excited over Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Octopus's Garden have at it buddy.

Sgt Pepper is overrated. Revolver and Rubber Soul are two of their best. The second side of Abbey Road is a masterpiece.

Talk about overrated, it's Abbey Road. If it weren't for Harrisons contributions it would have been the Beatles worst album. Side 2? I guess you're referring to the medley, which basically was a bunch of McCartney lyrics that he had laying around and couldn't figure out what to do with so they just threw them all together. 90% of it is meaningless gibberish.

He died after surgery but the type of surgery hasn’t been revealed yet. One report said heart trouble killed him and another said natural causes.

I haven’t read anything yet today. A friend emailed me about this and reminded me of seeing them in 1986-87. The memories are strong and his death really brought up elderly rock stars.

New wave music was a favorite for a few years due to MTV.
