US Phone number service
Anyone know of a good online service that enables me to do this
1) Post a US phone number on a client's site 2) People call the number and EITHER - they get to talk to my client in Europe through SKYPE OR - they get voicemail and the client calls them through the app |
You ever try google voice? It can do the "get voicemail and the client calls them through the app" part.
You can also forward the calls to your clients "real" number and answer there. Or just answer the call in google voice. |

Magicjack VOIP will allow you to select an area code for a specific US city and then use the number anywhere in the world.

I had good experiences with Sonetel in the past.
Wide range of available US numbers, including toll free. Forwards your calls through VOIP or by just calling your number abroad. You can also route calls to their voice mail system. They offer free trials for new customers. https://sonetel.com/en/ |

Anveo - The Smart Way To Use Your Phones does what you want and then some.
I use it and it only costs a few bucks a month at most. Real number in any area code you want, can receive texts, and even forward them as well to your non-USA number. *Extremely* robust admin interface. |
I have dozens of phone numbers set up like this using Twilio and a software called ACT: https://www.analyticcalltracking.com/

I use Kall8.com and TollFreeForwarding.com
both are great You can forward the numbers to any other phone number in the world (so you can just get a skype number https://www.skype.com/en/skype-number/ and forward to that) and/or have a voicemail. It's super cheap, like $2/month for a 8XX number and per minute rates are super cheap as well I have 100s of toll free numbers with those 2 and never had any issue I also had a provider that could directly forward to skype without having to have a skype number, but they stopped doing that, but there are probably still some that offer that. Either way the above option works great. There are also cheaper options where the receive installs a voip app and you route the numbers to that, but it requires a bit more technical knowledge |
