Plenty of amazing music still being made, you just haven't adapted to the new distribution methods of it.
Just like adult its the actual talent, their social media and the streaming platforms... Soundcloud, mixcloud, spotify, audiomack, etc. |
Because Jerry Garcia is dead.
|
he looks weird without a beard
|
he just thinks 'new music' is whatever comes up next in youtube autoplay
|
I'm still waiting for you to post "good music" :1orglaugh

Listen the the true greats of the music industry and see how long and the journey they took to become great.
Playing as school or college kids, years on the road before they recorded anything, sometimes in other bands, then early tracks that don't reveal how good they will become, etc. Then they achieved enough fame to be allowed to spend time in a studio perfecting an album. Today they don't do that now with the access to Youtube, Soundcloud, mixcloud, spotify, audiomack, etc. Nothing replaces playing in grotty little clubs for years. |
^yes they do... obviously you've never heard of any of those besides youtube before today. And even on youtube, you can witness all of that... see people go from shitty bedroom cover artists with a Walmart mic to superstar status.
Then theres places like bandlab, soundtrap, etc where bands remotely jam together. The world is changing bro. Same shit, different toilet. |

why? Antares Audio Technologies.

Nickelback for the win ...... They are from my state :thumbsup
Also i like those |
Because record companies dont invest in talent anymore. If first one aint a hit you are gone. They arent growing talent anymore. You look at bands of the past they played live for years before getting a deal. That makes the band mature and the quality of their music gets better and better. Also once MTV happened music became a visual medium so it became pretty people. Alot of the classic acts of the 60's and 70's never would of got a deal today.

Electronics killed a big part of the industry. Voice isn’t good? Correct it via soundboard. Guitar riffs are weak or bass is dull?
Many “singers” today are horrible but have a gimmick. They sound good on radio but live? Backing vocalists and electronic jiggling while they shimmy and shake. A lot of amateurs are amazing and can be found online . |

Not saying what you posted is nice but does it compare to The Wall, Electric Ladyland, Wheels of Fire, etc? |

Anyone who says there is no good music is looking in the wrong places. Every era has bad and good music. None is better or worse than any other.
What constitutes good music is subjective anyway. "Hey Mickey" may not be my thing, but it was popular with a lot of people so it must be doing something right. |
